Starting January 2003, instructors are able to check-out videotapes for educational use in private or public institutions. AAMLO contains over 100 documentaries on various topics of African American history and culture, including music, science, historical and social movements, the arts, and many other areas. Educators who would like to borrow from this collection will need to come into AAMLO, fill out an application form, and have it signed by their principal or Department Head. They will also need a current Oakland Public Library card. They will then be allowed to borrow videos from the special AAMLO collection for a 7-day period. AAMLO is located at 659-14th Street, at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
