Some, like Senate Bill 1027 and House Bill 2049, would cut the number of reports state agencies are required to file each year, saving money for beleaguered state agencies. How is the program unique The Science Teacher Preparation Program is a unique pathway to science teacher certification. Science majors spend significant amounts of time working with mentor teachers in area middle schools and high schools. Program students have exciting opportunities to work with classroom teachers to experiment with ideas that are discussed in their college courses. The teaching courses focus on science, rather than a mix of teaching subject areas. This allows for a unique blend of science and pedagogy in the courses.
