Small Arms of the Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902
This is an excellent book, generally well laid out, thorough in presentation and well illustrated. It brings together both the general history of the Anglo-Boer War and the small arms of that conflict. Numerous anecdotal passages breathe life into what could have been simply another book about weapons. The author does a nice job of clarifying the complex history of the Boer arms contracts and fleshes out his work with excellent photographs and technical details. The book is also a high quality production in and of itself, an increasingly expensive process these days. As a collector andavid historian I would reccomend this book to anyone interested in the military aspects of a little appreciated but important regional conflict.

Interesting and Indispensible Reference Book

Presented in a very easy to read style, it's a "hard to put down" book for any British or South African arms enthusiast.Monumental research provides fresh text and never seen before pictures clarifying types of weapons, as well as contract details and usage.
