Whirlpool Dryer Repairs
A while back I ordered a Dryer Repair Manual and did my own repairs to a malfunctioning dryer.Read the manual on my problem and did the repair for 75% savings from calling a repair person.

Whirlpool dryer repair cheap and easy
Good book for the beginner do-it-yourselfer.The book can be a little confusing, especially if you have an older machine.But, I never fixed a dryer before in my life (my drive belt was broken), and after reading through the book a bit, I figured out what I had to do.I would recommend it if your dryer breaks down on you.It's a lot cheaper than calling the repairman.

Worked for us.
It costs about $65 just for someone to come look at our dryer,not to mention what it would have cost to fix it.I bought my husband this book and now our dryer works great. I was expecting a thicker, more detailed book, but we can't complain.It paid for itself with just the one fix. The igniter and a fuse were broken and had to be replaced.

Horrible product
Why buy a book for an appliance that is of poor quality and even worse customer service.

Poorly organized and incomplete. While there are There are some helpful and well-intentioned tips, but this is by no means an adequate 'do-it-yourselfer' troubleshooting guide. Practical Use.
This book is fine for a general look at some problems but I prefer more details and diagrams for a specific model.
i.e an exploded view of parts location, parts number list ect.

Decent book, but you must understand its purpose first
This book is for only a few type of repairs and for a few type of dishwashers.It will only help with the most basic repairs. (Replacing a dishrack for one example) Also, if you have a dishwasher with the electronic (digital) timer, forget this book, it won't help at all.Furthermore, there is a chance that your type of dishwasher will not be mentioned (at all) in this book; mine was not.I had a problem with a drain flapper and this book did not help at all with this problem.In fact, my brand of dishwasher had a diagram of the pump/motor assembly in the book but it did not match at all with my actual assembly.

Truth in advertising
This book is exactly what the title says it is. It takes you through most simple repairs for dishwashers, (most repairs). Nothing more complicated than simple household tools and a Volt-Ohm meter is required. Don't have a Volt-Ohm meter. The book tells you how to find one and how to use it. This doesn't mean you won't have to lie on the floor or won't get wet. It just means that you won't have to pay someone else a lot of money to so something you could have done if only you knew how. There is also a section on preventative maintenance that's so good, I intend to make my thirteen-year-old read it.If you have read any of Douglas Emley's other books, this one is no different. Not what I expected
I was looking for a beginners guide or a how to guide. this text is geared more towards an electronic class setting, for someone with some experience. I seems very complete for someone with some knowledge, or some background. Overall I like the book, I had learned some knowledge and will continue to read to improve on it
