In 1903 the Dutch Korfball Association was founded, followed in 1921 by the Belgian Association and in 1933 by the International Korfball Federation. Korfball was played in the then Dutch colonies of Indonesia, Surinam and the islands of the Dutch Antilles and the sport was demonstrated during the Olympic Games of 1920 in Antwerp (BEL) and of 1928 in Amsterdam (NED). However, in spite of many efforts, the International Korfball Federation did not grow. In 1946 Great Britain affiliated. In one or two other countries korfball was introduced but without any remaining results. In the beginning of the 1960's, only three countries were affiliated to the International Korfball Fede-ration, viz. The Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain. International matches were played on a regular basis between The Netherlands and Belgium, between The

Digital Shootout in Bonaire - November 9 - 16, 2002 Bonaire EcoSwim December 6 7, 2002 Highlighting the ease of swimming in Bonaire, the Second Annual Deep Blue 5K Swim, Metric Mile Swim and Ocean Festival will take place on December 7, 2002 and feature three swim courses. The Deep Blue 5K Swim course will start and end at Captain Dons Habitat, with competitors swimming from in front of the hotel to Klein Bonaire and back, rounding fixed buoys. The Metric Mile course will start near Klein Bonaire (boat transportation will be provided) and finish at the dock at Captain Don's.
