Product Description
Ever need a fact or quotation on clogging? Designed for speechwriters, journalists, writers, researchers, students, professors, teachers, historians, academics, scrapbookers, trivia buffs and word lovers, this is the largest book ever created for this single word. It represents a compilation from a variety of sources with a linguistic emphasis on anything relating to the term "clogging," including non-conventional usage and alternative meanings which capture ambiguities. The entries cover all parts of speech (noun, verb, adverb or adjective usage) as well as use in modern slang, pop culture, social sciences (linguistics, history, geography, economics, sociology, political science), business, computer science, literature, law, medicine, psychology, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and other physical sciences. This "data dump" results in many unexpected examples for clogging, since the editorial decision to include or exclude terms is purely a linguistic process. The resulting entries are used under license or with permission, used under "fair use" conditions, used in agreement with the original authors, or are in the public domain. Proceeds from this book are used to expand the content and coverage of Webster's Online Dictionary (www.websters-online-dictionary.org). ... Read more

Excerpt: A morris dance is a form of English folk dance usually accompanied by music. It is based on rhythmic stepping and the execution of choreographed figures by a group of dancers. Implements such as sticks, swords, handkerchiefs and bells may also be wielded by the dancers. In a small number of dances for one or two men, steps are performed near and across a pair of clay tobacco pipes laid across each other on the floor. Claims that English records, dating back to 1448, mention the morris dance are open to dispute. There is no mention of "morris" dancing earlier than the late 15th century, although early records such as Bishops' "Visitation Articles" mention sword dancing, guising and other dancing activities as well as mumming plays. Furthermore, the earliest records invariably mention "Morys" in a court setting, and both men and women are mentioned as dancing, and a little later in the Lord Mayors' Processions in London. It is only later that it begins to be mentioned as something performed in the parishes. There is certainly no evidence that it is a pre-Christian ritual, as is often claimed. In the modern day, it is commonly thought of as a uniquely English activity, although there are around 150 morris sides (or teams) in the United States. Bri...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=52691 ... Product Description
Webster's bibliographic and event-based timelines are comprehensive in scope, covering virtually all topics, geographic locations and people. They do so from a linguistic point of view, and in the case of this book, the focus is on "Clogging," including when used in literature (e.g. all authors that might have Clogging in their name). As such, this book represents the largest compilation of timeline events associated with Clogging when it is used in proper noun form. Webster's timelines cover bibliographic citations, patented inventions, as well as non-conventional and alternative meanings which capture ambiguities in usage. These furthermore cover all parts of speech (possessive, institutional usage, geographic usage) and contexts, including pop culture, the arts, social sciences (linguistics, history, geography, economics, sociology, political science), business, computer science, literature, law, medicine, psychology, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and other physical sciences. This "data dump" results in a comprehensive set of entries for a bibliographic and/or event-based timeline on the proper name Clogging, since editorial decisions to include or exclude events is purely a linguistic process. The resulting entries are used under license or with permission, used under "fair use" conditions, used in agreement with the original authors, or are in the public domain. ... Read more

From the supplier: Quaker Oats Co's Gatorade business unit eliminated troubles with clogged nozzles on its bottle rinsing line by adding a self-cleaning filter unit to the rinse water feed line. Previously, cardboard shavings forced Gatorade to spend 32 hours per month disassembling and cleaning the rinsing line, and the addition of a rinse water recovery system made the problem worse. The self-cleaning filter has eliminated maintenance downtime and prevented contamination of the nozzles and the water recovery system.

Product Description
In this book a conceptual model of solute transport with bioremediation processes using sawdust as a matrix to improve the efficiency of bioremediation in the porous media was developed. The transport part of the model solves the advection-dispersion partial differential equations and the reaction part describes the heterotrophic metabolisms of several groups of bacteria. The model considers biological clogging effects, by calculating changes in porosity through converting biomass into volume, which directly reduces porosity of porous media. Unwanted substances rich in wastewater are usually deficient in electron donor and require external addition of electron donors in order to achieve complete reduction. In this study possible source of carbon is the solid carbon supplied to system in the form of sawdust. The results of this study indicate that sawdust could be employed as low cost material to enhance the bioremediation processes and increase the permeability of porous media. Feasibility and applicability of model was assessed by conducting laboratory soil-sawdust columns experiments and comparing the simulated results with experimentaldata. ... Read more

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Here Northumbria is taken to mean the counties ofNorthumberland, the northernmost county of England, andCounty Durham, Sunderland (once part of County Durham), aswell as part of Tyne and Wear. The region possesses adistinctive style of folk music with a strong and continuingtradition. The region is particularly noted for itstradition of border ballads, the Northumbrian smallpipe (aform of bagpipe unique to north-east England) and also astrong fiddle tradition in the region that was already well- established in the 1690s. Northumbrian music ischaracterised by considerable influence from other regions, particularly southern Scotland and other parts of the northof England. Irish tunes are also much played in the region,as they are elsewhere. Traditional and distinctiveNorthumbrian styles were revived in the nineteenth centuryand again in the twentieth.
