The target group for studying comprised 48 Matthayom Suksa 1/9 students who took the English main course (English 012) in the second semester of the academic year 2000 at Nawamindrachuthit Payap School, Amphur Maerim, Chiang Mai. The researcher surveyed the students needs about topics and contents for arranging the Language Experience Approach Activities. The English reading ability test, the creative writing ability test, and the achievement motivation test were administered before and after the experiment. The target group for studying was taught for 11 weeks. The data obtained were analyzed by using computer program SPSS for Windows.
