You can find quite a complete list of Homeschooling Message Boards on the Web at the Finding Homeschool Support on the Internet site, which has good content that make its obnoxious Geocities advertisements worth putting up with. On the same site you can also find very detailed information about mailing lists Internet Relay Chats , and other on-line discussion opportunities for homeschoolers. Each board or mailing list has its own flavor. Visit a few and decide which one you find the most informative and helpful, and then join in and answer the questions of other participants. Margie has been interested in drama since she was young, getting a few minor roles in high school and civic theatre, but has directed plays for home schoolers in the Wabash Valley area for nine years, taught co-op drama classes for all ages, and taught a seminar for parents on how to direct a play. Shirley is a Mock Trial Team Coach for the Southwest Homeschooling Network. She and her husband of 22 years, Tom, home school their three children. In addition, Shirley teaches computer applications part time at El Paso Community College. The Skipper children are involved a number of activities including sports and 4H. Tommy, 16, is beginning his third year on the Mock Trial Team and 14-year-old Victoria, her second year. Shannon, 11, has a couple of years to go before she can participate. Shirley says, "If parents want to get their kids involved in extracurricular activities they have to volunteer and be involved themselves!"
