Are Headaches Taking Your Life Hostage and Preventing You From Living to Your Fullest Potential?

Are you tired of being given the run around by doctors who tell you that your headaches or migraines are psychological or that they have no cause that can be treated?

Are you sick of calling in sick because you woke up with a headache so bad that you can barely think or see straight?

Do you avoid socializing because that often means the bright lights and noises that might trigger a painful headache that could last for days?

Do you put off sex because your head hurts too much to ever be "in the mood?"

Do you want to throw away those expensive addicting prescr|ptions and over the counter medications that do things like destroy your stomach lining and make you're sleepy and find other options for treating your headache?

Then you need to read - Naturally Cure Your Headaches!

Learn long term strategies and every day healthful practices that prevent and cure headaches, cluster headaches and migraines!

Let's face it. There is probably not a human in the entire world who has not ever suffered from a headache at some time in their life.

If you are a healthy individual you probably get a headache occasionally. Getting a headache is a fairly routine occurrence for most people and even though these headaches are annoying they should not interfere with the normal course of your day.

However for some individuals headaches are absolutely disabling and excruciating and so bad that they have to leave work early, cancel social obligations and avoid all living their life like they should!

If you have been surfing the Internet for help with your head pain then you probably suffer from a very common but also very extreme form of headache known as the migraine.

If you are in severe pain it is also possible that you suffer from a rarer but very painful condition known as "cluster" headaches.

Both types of headaches can be completely disabling! In fact, cluster headaches have been known to be so painful that they are sometimes called "suicide headaches."

Suicide headaches is the right name for them alright! I can identify as I used to be tortured by searing pains through my eyes so badly that I practically wanted to beg someone to cut my head off so I could get away from the agony!

In fact, I was suicidal when I once suffered from cluster headaches every single day for four straight months with no reprieve.

Basically, I just stopped living my life. I revised my entire schedule to humor these tyrannical headaches. I avoided going out in case noise or bright lights triggered an attack. In fact I never went far from home because it was very hard for me to get a cluster headache and the blurry vision that accompanied it and then drive home safely!

I also stopped exercising because I was afraid that the blood that would be coursing through my veins would trigger the pounding in my head. The same thing was true for sex - I began to fear that orgasms would trigger a stabbing pain in my head.

I was in a terrible chronic pain loop and I just could not get out of it. I drove my loved ones crazy with my constant complaining. I was like a broken record to them - "No I cannot do this or that because I have a headache!"

They heard that every day for months and then just stopped inviting me places or including me in their plans because my woes put such a damper on things. I became depressed and isolated which in turn increased my anxiety and stress about trying to live my life despite the terrible pain I was in! The result was that I became trapped in a vicious circle of relentless cluster headache attacks.

And much, much more information about how the medical community is going to perceive and diagnose your headache problem and ultimately treat them! ... Read more

Product Description
The method of scientific investigation used in this bookand explained in its first chapter is the method described by IsaacNewton in his book The Principia, which is continually used by him andall other physicists but not by psychologists. The great truth exposedby using this method to understand migraine is that the head pain andthe associated symptoms are automatic responses created by evolutionand controlled unconsciously to realize self-protection andsurvival. This fact is also derived from Freud's and Jung's works byusing Newton's method. It is also shown that the results of researchon the physiological processes that are related to the production ofheadache do not make the above etiology impossible but rather suggestit. A migraineur has a problem that harms his/her interests seriously, but he/she does not deal with it adequately for various reasons andrepresses it in some measure. His/her unconscious produces symptomsthat carry analogic messages urging him/her to resolve that problemand also punish him/her for not doing that. Sometimes a symptom is sotimely and intense that it prevents a self-harming action. Thus, headache means: "Get wise; stop making that mistake; stop hurtingyourself!" Eye pain means: "Don't ignore the events that hurt you!"Nausea and vomiting mean: "Don't tolerate ugly events!" The othersymptoms too carry self-protective messages related to the patient'slife experiences.

Psychotherapy consists of making a patient consciously understand anddeal adequately with the problem that his/her unconscious wisheshim/her to resolve so that the symptoms become unneeded as messagecarriers. Evidently, this method necessitates cooperation with theunconscious, whereas all existing therapies combat its products, i.e.,the symptoms, and thereby make the symptoms all the more needed. Amigraineur can do this work with or without the help of a therapistwho is familiar with this method. Dreams too are automatic responsesthat serve to realize self-protection and survival and carry morediagnostic and therapeutic information and ideas compared tosymptoms. Also, dreams can be induced that deal with consciouslychosen issues. Therefore symptoms and dreams are interpreted together,as explained in this book. This theory predicts a patients' relevantlife experiences in general terms, facilitates the discovery of theirparticulars, explains the causes, meanings, and functions of his/hersymptoms and dreams, and realizes very fast and definitive cures. Morethan 120 headache and facial pain sufferers have been cured in veryshort times using this method, as illustrated by 50 original casehistories

This book is published for the use of headache patients and their therapists and contains the relevant chapters of my earlier book COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL CYBERNETICS OF SYMPTOMS, DREAMS, LATERALIZATION: THEORY, INTERPRETATION, THERAPY. This earlier book exposes the adaptive and self-protective functions of the most conspicuous automatic responses such as pain, fear, anxiety, repression, all symptoms of primary mental disorders, response to stage and screen plays, laughter and tears, structural responses such as cerebral lateralization, and so forth. The fact that all those phenomena can be explained, predicted, and controlled on the basis of the same principles proves that those principles reflect the truth. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Please join the 21st century!
I admire anyone who can actually write a book -- usually. In this case, it seems the author fails to understand the most basic principles of migraine, which is, in fact, a true neurological disease. Migraine cannot be "terminated" by following this author's advice, with or without a psychotherapist.

Migraine has nothing whatsoever to do with "automatisms created by evolution for self-protection and are controlled by your unconscious to force you to correct your certain severely self-harming behaviors." If it did, those with migraines would not continue to suffer from this debilitating disease.

The old theories of migraine personality and psychological causes of this disease were debunked many years ago. Perhaps Mr. Loker should review the medical literature of this century.

5-0 out of 5 stars A revolutionary conception of migraine
Loker's book Migraines and Dreams realizes two revolutions in psychology and psychotherapy. First, it presents a completely new conception of migraine and a new method of interpretation of dreams. Medical people have discovered many unusual organic processes in the head that account for migraine headache, and they therefore consider headache a harmful manifestation of some organic defect or dysfunction. But they failed to expose any organic defect or dysfunction that could be held responsible for the organic processes that cause headache. Moreover, they found that (a) those processes are controlled by the cortex, which also produces thought; (b) pain sensitivity is increased again by the cortex simultaneously with the production of headache; and (c) no animal model of migraine exists. These suggest that migraine headache may be purposefully produced by the mind, which would make migraine a psychosomatic state necessitated by the higher functions of the human cortex, or mind. Psychologists, as well as medical people, view migraine headache as a harmful manifestation of some dysfunction. But they claim that it is caused by some psychological dysfunction, not an organic one. And both psychologists and medical people have failed to produce a satisfactory method of therapy of migraine based on their conception of this disorder.

Migraines and Dreams exposes the fact that these two mental products have very definite and interrelated self-protective functions. Psychotherapy consists of discovering the precise self-protective functions of the symptoms and dreams of a patient and realizing self-protection consciously so that symptoms become unneeded. This understanding makes extremely fast and effective psychotherapy possible. The book contains 50 original case histories that expose the psychogenesis, meanings, and functions of the symptoms and dreams of migraine patients and illustrates the method of psychotherapy. In opposition to this, all existing methods of therapy, which all are based on the belief that symptoms are only harmful manifestations of dysfunctions or defects, antagonize the symptoms and thereby make them all the more needed. This means that all those therapies antagonize the mind's self-protective productsand fail as they should. Loker's method of psychotherapy is self-applicable.

The second revolution realized by Loker's book is his explanation and use of the method of making scientific discoveries, which is explained briefly by Isaac Newton's in his book The Principia and used by him and all other physicists. It is because psychologists ignore this method that psychology is still a primitive science with "schools" instead of theories, and there is so much suffering due to psychological, or mental, disorders. Loker's theory of migraine is only a small part of his general theory of all automatic responses, which is presented in his book Cognitive-Behavioral Cybernetics of Symptoms, Dreams, Lateralization. ... Product Description
Objectives Primary headache syndromes (eg, migraine and tension-type headache [TTH]) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are prevalent in childhood and may cause impairment in social and academic functioning. We tested if ADHD or its symptoms are associated with specific headache syndromes or with headache frequency. Study design Cross-sectional epidemiological study with direct interviews to parents and teachers using validated and standardized questionnaires. Setting Populational study. Participants Children aged 5 to 11 years (n = 1856). Outcome measures Prevalence of ADHD as a function of headache status in crude and adjusted analyses. Results The prevalence of migraine was 3.76%. Infrequent episodic TTH occurred in 2.3% of the sample, and frequent episodic TTH occurred in 1.6%. The prevalence of ADHD was 6.1%. The prevalence of ADHD was not significantly different by headache category. For hyperactivity-impulsivity symptoms, the prevalence was 8.1% in children without headache, 23.7% in children with migraine (relative risk [RR], 2.6; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.6–4.2), and 18.4% in children with probable migraine (RR, 2.1; 95% CI, 1.4–3.2). For inattention, no significant differences were seen. In multivariate analyses, ADHD or inattention symptoms were not predicted by headache subtypes or headache frequency. Hyperactivity-impulsivity symptoms were significantly associated with any headache (P < 0.01), TTH (P < 0.01), or migraine (P < 0.001). Conclusion Migraine and TTH are not comorbid to ADHD overall, but are comorbid to hyperactive-impulsive behavior. Providers and educators should be aware of the association. ... Read more
