Product Description
Less than one hundred years ago, heart disease was an extremely rare disease. Today it kills more people in the developed world than all other causes of death combined. Despite the vast financial resources spent on finding a cure for heart disease, the current medical approaches remain mainly symptom-oriented and do not address the underlying causes.

Even worse, there is overwhelming evidence to show that the treatment of presumed heart disease precursors, such as high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries and high cholesterol, actually prevents a real cure and can easily lead to chronic heart failure. The patient's heart may still beat, but not strong enough to feel vital and alive.

Heart Disease No More, excerpted from the author's best-selling Timeless Secrets of Health & Rejuvenation, provides you with the practical insights about how heart disease develops, what causes it and what you can do to prevent it, regardless of possible genetic predisposition. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars evidence!
Gary Fraser's research as captured in this book is in the class of Colin Campbell's research as captured in his book The China Study. Both say the same about the role of diet as pre-eminent in promoting & maintaining wellness. This knowledge isn't new in human history. Just that the skeptics the stragglers and the straddlers of today need to have some evidence in scientific format! if they so wish. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars easy to digest, practical information
i learned things i didn't know, even after trying to educate myself more about cholesterol for the past 5 years. i was already near my desired weight, but by applying the advice and tracking my daily consumption for a few months, my overall count dropped 20 points (258 to 238) and my LDL dropped 10. my doctor and i agreed to keep at it for another 4 months and see if trend continues.
now my wife and kids are picking recipes from the back for us to try at home, so i think there's a good chance i'll see more improvement.

5-0 out of 5 stars Huge Help in Recovery
I purchased this book at the suggestion of a friend while I was recovering from Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery..(a triple bypass). I was in need of information that would help me recover and take me forward to avoid needing surgery in the future, to bring me back to a state of good health and to find ways to do it with little disruption. I had a few other books given to me, or suggested. I have found that The New Living Heart Diet is an amazingly complete "how to" manual for someone with heart disease or is trying to prevent it.I would reccommend it to a friend. ... Read more
