great book, but certainly pricey
We bought this book used when we were expecting our second child.He had been pre-diagnosed through ultrasound has having Left-sided diaphragmatic hernia.This book is the only book that has any information about this defect.My husband and I read it thoroughly.It is rather old but if you are expecting a cdh baby and want to read the history of the treatment and how far medical science has come (at least up to the point when this book was published) while you are waiting, this would be a good book.I must interject here that if you doctor has told you there is no hope (and most doctors still believe there isn't) don't listen to him/her.Get educated and help your baby.It won't be perfect but it will likely be better than the doctor says. ...
