Extractions: Since the EBUS program needs to demonstrate adherence to B.C. learning outcomes, parents can either make a list of the outcomes that have been completed by the student in each subject in each term OR the parent can use the outcomes and actually rate the student's proficiency in achieving these. For the EBUS program, we will use these lists (i.e. learning outcomes and Language Arts/math Benchmarks) in two ways: as planning tools to indicate which expectations are being addressed in each term, and, as assessment tools which will allow parents to easily rate the degree of proficiency attained in relation to each outcome. Note: The Benchmarks that are provided for grades K-7 in Language Arts and Math provide a framework of widely held expectations meant to serve as a guide in developing individual plans for children. In all other subject areas, the learning outcomes described in the curriculum pages at the EBUS web site provide a similar framework. These lists will be supplemented by additional evidences of learning as described on the E-Bus Assessment Main Page.
