The first Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology at the University of Oklahoma was awarded in 1965, the first Master of Science degree in 1964, and the first Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1963. In 1981, the School of Meteorology became part of the College of Geosciences, which also includes the Dept. of Geography and the School of Geology and Geophysics.
