AWARDS PAGE This website has become one of the most awarded and honored law enforcement and legal related sites on the net. I am extremely proud of the awards that have been bestowed on this site, and grateful to those entities that have seen this site fit for their recognition. Due to the number of awards, and the aggregate size of the GIF and JPEG files, now in excess of 100k, I have set up a separate page for the awards. This should speed the loading of these pages. This new page, which I will refer to as AWARDS.HTM will very proudly display the awards. Again, I want to thank those who recognized this page, and assure them that the awards are still proudly displayed. NEW CHAT ROOM ADDED TO THIS SITE! THIS LIST HAS BEEN SPLIT - AGAIN! Extractions: [Dateline: October 10, 2002] Earlier this year, I wrote that the media tended to ignore missing children who aren't "young enough, cute enough, and white enough". Not everybody appreciated this bluntness you know how it is: Any time you make an observation concerning race, everybody's first instinct is to wonder whether it's somehow a racist comment but I stood by it. Since then, two things have happened: The mass media has joined the "media is ignoring minority children" bandwagon, and non-white children are no longer being routinely ignored (though it still helps if a kid is young and cute). The change came, not due to any increased self-awareness on behalf of the media, but because of Jahi Turner's disappearance coming less than three months after Danielle van Dam's. Danielle was, of course, young and cute and white, and her parents were involved in sexual activities that eventually dominated the early stages of the trial of the man who killed Danielle. The media's interest in Jahi? He lived in the same city, San Diego, as Danielle.

Aisha and Alia Gheshayan When Pat Roush wants to show off her daughters, she reaches for an old Christmas photo. It's the classic family snapshot: two happy little girls in front of the tree, holding matching Pound Puppiesgifts from Santaover their heads. Exactly one month later, Miss Roush would lay out their black Mary Janes and party dresses for a birthday bash the girls had been looking forward to. It was a party they would never make. Kidnapped by their estranged father, seven-year-old Alia and her three-year-old sister, Aisha, were already on their way to Saudi Arabia. Abby and Christy Steyne: Abby and Christy were abducted by their non-custodial mother Joyce Murray Steyne and their uncle Kirk Murrey.
