Extractions: Listed below is a summary of the various contracts/agreements available to UMR Departments. The following list is not a complete list of all agreements but is a list of the agreements that are most widely used. If your department has an on-going need for products or services, please contact the Campus Procurement at extension 4266 to request information about other agreements. These agreements were put into place to help departments get lower prices through quantity discounts. University departments are encouraged to purchase from these agreements. If the agreements are not utilized, vendors are reluctant to offer quantity discounts for future bids and the advantages gained through quantity purchases are lost. Another advantage to having these contracts/agreeements in place, is that separate bid requests do not need to be issued, thus saving time. MS Word version of contracts/agreements Computer Systems/Workstations/Servers Important Information To Consider When Making a Computer Purchase If the UMR Computer Center is responsible for supporting the computer needs for your department, you may want to contact the Computer Center before making a computer related purchase to verify the item(s) you select will be supported by Computing Services personnel. Some items included on VPA contracts may not be supported by Computing Services personnel.
