Product Description
The Secret Universal Mind Meditation imparts the sacred truth spiritual masters have taught for centuries. This truth is real and powerful. It starts by changing your belief system, slowly, subtly and gently while you sleep. As you are lulled into blissful slumber, secret messages are whispered into your ears--first audibly, and then just below the level of consciousness.

Over days and weeks to come, your conscious and your subconscious mind will accept the secret as true. Without knowing how or why, everything you need and desire will come to you through communing with the Universal Mind.

With this program you will overcome limiting, outmoded beliefs that have hindered your ability to create the life you've always wanted. While theta and delta waves gently lull you to sleep, your mind is re-programed with new knowledge and beliefs that unleash your power to create a new reality; a reality that fulfills your deepest needs and desires.

Through nightly listening, your subconscious will accept the information it receives as true. When this happens, what you need and desire comes to you. And there is nothing you need to do except relax and listen. If you fall asleep while listening, that's even better; the messages are still absorbed into your subconscious. The results are profound. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Too many negative statements
I don't understand what Kelly Howell is doing here; other than making lots of money. There are too many negative statements in this CD.Negative statements get negative results.

And by the way, KH's cd's overall just don't seem to work.Where are the positive results?

4-0 out of 5 stars Longer Than Expected
When I purchased this at her site, I didnt realize it was an hour long, until after I had downloaded it. I put off using it for 2 weeks because I am used to subliminals/guided meditations that go for about a half hour.
Well, I finally got around to using it and didn't like her voice, but figured I'd listen to it to see if it got any better. I didn't appreciate the sound her voice anymore than I did before or the echoing of it, but it did seem to manifest some positive results. I dont know if it's because she's like the queen of binaural beats and put me in an ideal receptive state or what, but this subliminal CD can be fruitful if used regularly for 30 days with no other programs to confuse your subconscious.
I am looking forward to using her follow up to this The Secret Universal Mind Meditation II which is divided into like 5 parts so I'm not so overwhelmed by the thought of having to set aside an entire hour at a time.

1-0 out of 5 stars It literally gives me nightmares
I bought this because I am a huge fan of The Secret, and I wanted to dive more into and more grateful and joyous state on all levels.I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue but every time I fall asleep to this CD, I have horrible nightmares.I seldom dream and it is even more rare that I have nightmares. But after the fifth time, I had to get rid of it.

I don't know what it is doing to me on a subconscious level, but I can't take waking up completely terrified anymore.

Would love to know if anyone else had this problem.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nothing Short of Outstanding!
I absolutely loved this program.I definitely noticed a profound shift in my thinking after using it, and I continued well past the suggested listening time of six weeks. In fact, I still use it nearly every night because it is making a noticeable difference in my life.Don't expect all lollipops and roses, though. You may be surprised to uncover some things that at first may seem painful, but when you realize that it was necessary to help get you to the other side of it, you know that that was the answer and it was exactly what you needed. In short, the end definitely justifies the means.

The program is based on the teachings of U.S. Andersen from his book, Three Magic Words: The Key to Power, Peace and Plenty. My curiosity was raised so I ordered that book too and although I'm still reading it as of this writing, so far I love, love, love that too - it may be my new all time favorite.

Kelly Howell has a soothing voice and the background music is very appropriate and not annoying. I would recommend this program to every single person who breathes! If I could have given it 10 stars, I would have!

If you use it, this program WILL help you change your life... if you let it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sleepy time only
This CD is a sleeper.Works the subconscious but after listening to the CD for 7months straight - all it did was to put me to sleep. It's positive and puts your mind at rest and think about the force (law of attraction) to work with you as you are sleeping. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Readable snippets of wisdom
"Philosophy" may often seem daunting, a hulking behemoth that one cannot tackle. However, with this version of Marcus Aurelius' 'Meditations', reflections on life, humanity, love, greed, power, and all the things associated with being human are presented succinctly, and written in an accurate and easy-to-understand manner. No archaic sayings or pompous literary acrobatics here.

The book is small, lightweight and thin yet packs so much to reflect upon, that this is a constant travel companion for me. It is definitely a book to read and re-read, and each time, still brings new, refreshing insights. A great source of encouragement and reflection, especially when one is on the road for long journeys.

Don't be put off by the idea of this being a philosophical work. It is highly-accessible, meaningful, and most importantly, READABLE. Get it for yourself, or as a gift. This book is part of a whole series of philosophical works. Try searching for the box set and the other series if you're keen to explore the full collection.

P/S: The letter-pressed cover is pretty darn cool too. Love the design!

5-0 out of 5 stars a superlative translation
Other reviewers here have commented about the work itself, so I would just add a note about this specific translation.

One of the most difficult tasks for a reader interested in non-English language work (and works from classical times in particular) is to choose an appropriate translation.Of course, what counts as `appropriate' is somewhat subjective.

What I was looking for was a translation that is clear and accurate; one that manages to convey something of a feeling for the both the person who wrote, and the times they wrote in.In this Staniforth excels.

Unlike say, the Benjamin Jowett translation of Plato which (at least to my ears) has a distinctly Victorian ring, or the popular new age paraphrases of many of the Stoics (and in truth they are paraphrases or adaptations rather than translations), to me Staniforth (whose translation dates from 1964) strikes just the right balance.

The words of Marcus Aurelius are rendered intelligibly and with a dignity and awareness of the historical context. The reader is neither forced to re-read and ponder (i.e., speculatively re-translate), nor wince at inappropriate colloquialisms of 21st century English.Better still, one can immediately perceive and appreciate the times in which the work was written. No mean accomplishment, to say the least.

Of course, each reader needs to make this judgment for themselves.Amazon provides an excellent (and free) way of doing this with its `search inside this book' feature, which is enormously useful for anyone making this decision.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow...
The little snippets of ideas represented in this book have been like a punch in the gut to me, philosophically, personally, in every way. Love it. Wish I could write more, but I don't have time; just wanted to make sure I put the five-star rating in here.
"You may break your heart, but men will still go on living as before."

5-0 out of 5 stars A bright, glittering treasure
Marcus Aurelius is a bright star, and if you like reading non-fiction books written by truly brilliant people then this is a book for you. In it, Marcus derives and explains his fundamental aspects of life and death and offers plenty of solid, timeless advice applicable to our `modern' times. At first I wondered what Marcus would think of us reading through his journals in the year 2010. Now I have the distinct feeling he would pass it off like a breeze across his shoulders. What an amazing man. To his subjects he was a Roman General and Emperor, to himself only a man dressed in sheep's hair dyed by purple `fish gore', with fate itself at his elbow.

Though imminently useful for our times, the passing references to ancient events like Pompeii and Herculaneum bring back the ancient nature of the book and how some things never change. It's a great bed-side book in that you can just flip it open and start reading from anywhere, and then ponder the mind of a truly great man as you drift off to sleep (hopefully to wake up later, but if not, well, that's nature's prescription and decision, right Marcus? : ) ).

I purchased this particular edition of Meditations as other reviewers elsewhere said this was the one to get as it had the best translation and was not junked up by some third-party writer trying to explain things. That was good advice as Marcus does plenty well in explaining things himself. What a treasure!

5-0 out of 5 stars 2000 year old wisdom at your fingertips
I couldn't help chuckling and nodding my head continually while reading Marcus' Meditations. His thoughts and life principles can be seen as repetitious through out Meditations (the books within it pretty much cover the same territory over and over, but actually cement his views firmly within your mind)yet they will give you great pause and reflection upon your own life.

I can't think of any better primer for living in today's crazed, money-obsessed, celebrity-driven and unbelievably shallow world. He is a Stoic by definition, of course, but the man really knew the world and Man all too well and he would find no surprise in the opinionated, self-righteous nature of the 21st century. It's a short book, but is best read slowly and savored intellectually.

I couldn't help but feel that all the Tony Robbins, Eckhard Tolles, Wayne Dyers, Deepok Chopras and Dr's Phils of our silly world pale next to his simple, yet solid principles and to some degree their books are derivitive of Aurelius' work. Highly recommended!

I never reread books - there are too many wanting my time, but I will do so with this one. In truth it's a startling honest and insightful book of how to run your life and should be stuck in your backpack or suitcase for those times when you lose your patience with people, grow disillusioned and world-weary, or just want to travel back through time and communicate with a man that actually ran the entire Western World for a while, a man who took never took himself or the trappings of the world all that seriously.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Vipassana trainees
Having completed my first 10 day course (taught by Goenka-ji) in Vipassana meditation, I found this book to be very helpful in my continued practice of Vipassana, or mindfulness meditation.

4-0 out of 5 stars Before the Flood
Before the Flood of young seekers of the late 1960's found their way into mindfulness and brought it back for insight and profit ... a straightforward, useful, and concisely well-documentedcommentary on and translation of the *essential Satipatthna along with relevant excerpts from the Pali tradition.

Keywords and concepts in English are presented aside the Pali ... a very helpful guide to the Buddhist canon and "liturgical" vocabulary. [p. 63: "Though, according to tradition, Mindfulness of Breathing is regarded primarily as a subject for Tranquillity-meditation (samatha-bhavana), i.e. for inducing the meditative Absorptions (jhana) ..."]

Unfortunately, as all of the other texts I have come across, scholarly and otherwise, that provide an English translation and commentary on these ancient texts, while alphabetical transcriptions are given, there are no pronunciation guides.

A product of 1954 which has not aged but ripened, offering the reader the opportunity to reflect on impermanence and the timelessness of the human condition. [p. 39: "The greater part of man-made suffering in the world comes not so much from deliberate wickedness as from ignorance, heedlessness, thoughtlessness, rashness and lack of self-control. ...p. 21: "... the 'very much present' silly chatter of society, newspapers or radio, which, when compared with those ancient voices of wisdom and beauty, will appear to emanate from the mental level of stone-age man tricked out in modern trappings. True wisdom is always young ..."]

But I'll give it a good rating so as not to mess up other folk's decision.

5-0 out of 5 stars Skeptical?I Recommend This Book to My Patients

This book is to mindfulness, as the One Minute Manager is to essential business skills. It's a quick read, and digests the pearls and pillars of mindfulness meditation in an easy-to-read format. Most importantly, it offers many small, doable, steps to achieve mindfulness and calm.

There is no question that meditation is beneficial to health, but it's been difficult to get my patients to embrace this task, even when they are willing.Meditation in a New York Minute is a great way to begin the journey.

5-0 out of 5 stars Book so worked
I was fortunate enough to see Mark in action live and purchased the book right after our class.Mark seriously walks the talk and from a person in finance, it was great to be able to see someone having been in that line of work, using meditation to help.Highly recommend anyone searching for how to maintain a more balanced mind set in this crazy world to buy the book and go see Mark when he next speaks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Super Busy yet Super Calm...
Namaste Mark Thornton!

I had exposure to some hardcopy and audiobooks and then I stumbled upon Mark Thornton's Meditation in a New York Minute...finally, a book/audiobook that really talked to me; I think Mark Thornton's easy, light delivery resonates with a person who hasn't had too much exposure to meditation, just like I haven't.

Mark's practical and supportive approach to learning how to meditate are relevant to my lifestyle, and I'll bet will be relevant to yours as well if you're interested in learning how to find some centering peace and calm in the whirlwind of your average day.An added bonus is that Mark debunks some commonly held misconceptions about meditation. I also have Mark to thank for suggesting involvement in local "meetups" - it's been fantastic. This book I wholeheartedly recommend-

BEAR IN MIND THAT THE
MEASURE OF A MAN IS THE WORTH OF THE THINGS HE CARES ABOUT.

IF IT IS GOOD TO SAY OR DO
SOMETHING, THEN IT IS
EVEN BETTER TO BE CRITICIZED FOR
HAVING SAID OR DONE IT.

ARE MY GUIDING PRINCIPLES
HEALTHY AND ROBUST? ON THIS HANGS EVERYTHING.

Essayist Matthew Arnold described the man who wrote these words as "the most beautiful figure in history." Possibly so, but he was certainly more than that. Marcus Aurelius ruled the Roman Empire at its height, yet he remained untainted by the incalculable wealth and absolute power that had corrupted many of his predecessors. Marcus knew the secret of how to live the good life amid trying and often catastrophic circumstances, of how to find happiness and peace when surrounded by misery and turmoil, and of how to choose the harder right over the easier wrong without apparent regard for self-interest.

The historian Michael Grant praises Marcus's book as "the best ever written by a major ruler," and Josiah Bunting, superintendent of the Virginia Military Institute, calls it "the essential book on character, leadership, duty." Never intended for publication, the Meditations contains the practical and inspiring wisdom by which this remarkable emperor lived the life not of a saintly recluse, but of a general, administrator, legislator, spouse, parent, and judge besieged on all sides.

The Emperor's Handbook offers a vivid and fresh translation of this important piece of ancient literature. It brings Marcus's words to life and shows his wisdom to be as relevant today as it was in the second century. This book belongs on the desk and in the briefcase of every business executive, political leader, and military officer. It speaks to the soul of anyone who has ever exercised authority or faced adversity or believed in a better day. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book
This book is filled with wisdom for life and living.I have gotten much sustenance from it's pages.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book should change your life!
Next to the Bible, this book has had the greatest influence on my life of anything ever written. This vibrant translation of personal reminders that Emperor Marcus Aurelius used to keep himself humble & focused is shockingly poignant and timeless in its applicability. It is divided nicely into bite-sized paragraphs & "verses" (except for a couple longer passages). You can, and should, spend a lifetime learning to live out Aurelius' principles.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best English Translation
I first read Marcus Aurelius when I was 14 years old.I didn't really understand it, but it was clear that the book was worth re-reading when I got older. In the four decades since, I've reread the book many times, in many different translations.I don't read Greek, so I cannot say how accurate the translation is, but as a reader, Scot and David Hicks have produced the best English translation available.Their translation does an excellent job of conveying the "spirit" of the text.If Marcus Aurelius had written in American English, I suspect his words would read very much like this translation.

Buy copies for your friends and family, especially young ones. The world could use more Stoic virtue.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
I bought this book for my daughter for her English assignment, and she said it was a great book and had some great information. From her opinion I think it is a great book to reference to.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ancient wisdom
I recently became interested in ancient philosophy and read three translations of Aurelius. For someone just starting out, this is the best introduction. The intro essay is useful. Yes, the translation slips into one too many Hallmark moments, but overall the translation is concise and pointed and, well, more modern. Compare this translation with the Penguin Classic and you'll see what I mean. Here is the Penguin classic:"...both the longest lived and the earliest to die suffer the same loss. It is only the present moment of which either stands to be deprived:and if indeed this is all he has, he cannot lose what he does not have."A bit long winded. Here is the Hicks translation: "...the man who dies young loses not a jot more time than the man who dies old. A man can only be deprived of the present monent, for this is all he has, and how can a man lose what he doesn't possess?" And, Aurelius strikes me as someone who would not write or speak in the more manneredand formal Penguin classic way butinstead as someone who cuts clearly to the nub. Get both books, but start with this one. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best meditation tools ever.
I was first introduced to this bookback in 1992. It changed my life. Having been raised Catholic, but being fortunate enough to have had exposure to the tenants of Buddhism, I was no stranger to the basic principles of prayer and meditation. The question was always what to do with this 'time alone with one self'. The Inner Guide Meditation was the answer I was looking for. It's a very powerful tool that, regardless of what your religious beliefs are, gives you access to the energies that make us who we are. If you read and follow the guidelines within, you will be able to ask questions of, and get answers from, the energies that drive our behavior, and you can resolve the tensions that naturally reside within all of us. It's a simple practice that once you get the hang of it will serve you very well.

The author is, sadly, now deceased, and the center he founded no longer exist. The recommendation of having a chart done to help you identify your trouble spots is not essential to successful meditation. Once you begin your practice, simply meet each of the energies and take notes on what positive thing they need from you in your everyday life. Check back regularly with them and your Guide and make adjustments as necessary until a harmony is developed between you and that energy. It's a lot of fun, although difficult at times, but very rewarding. The positive changes in your life will astound you.

If you approach this method with an open mind, and take the time to read the 1st 50 pages about 2 or three times, and actually try it, you will be pleasantly suprised at how much spiritual homework you'll be able to complete, and at the positive changes in your life. Please note that once you get into this, there will be times when it gets VERY difficult to getthrough a particular issue. It's as if you've been climbing a flight of stairs and with every step towards the next plateau, a 10 pound weight is added to your shoulders. Those last few steps can seem impossible to make. That weight is the resistance your ego presents to the challenge of change. Just stick to it. You will make it to that next plateau.

There really is nothing else out there like it (although someone recently wrote a VERY similar book but calls it something else and makes no reference to this piece of work). The beauty of this method is that it really transcends religion and, regardless of whether or not you can relate to the imagery or spiritual references, is a great tool for inner work.

Enjoy the book and good luck with your spritual growth.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Few Problems (and an accidental rating of 4 stars!)
I have been talking with my own "inner guide" for about 8 years now.My guide has all of the "True Guide" qualities that the author describes. My first experience with my guide was very intense and it literally changed my life. This guide continued to be with me off in the corner of every single one of my meditations always there if I ever needed anything. My guide never offers any opinions and will never tell me what to do even if I ask directly. My guide is never judgemental and is the most peaceful being I've ever encountered.

My problem with this book, although it has some really great ideas, was that it says that your true guide can not be female.Nor can it have wings or appear angel like. The author also says that a true guide will always appear to you if you are open.I have found these things to be untrue in my own experience. My guide has always had a feminine presence and she rarely shows herself to me.Enstead she is more like a guiding voice, an energy that I very clearly feel in the top right side of my meditations. The time that she showed herself to me 8 years ago (this wasn't the only time but it was the most vivid and intense) I told her that I wanted to see her and she asked me to turn my palms up.As soon as i did she came right up to me.She was floating, almost fluttering in front of me.She appeared to be made of bright, white, glowing energy. She had the shape of a human face but she wasn't human. She smiled and she kissed my face and held my hands and I started crying uncontrolably. For this book to say that your guide can not be anything but a man was rather offensive to me.Perhaps becasue I am a woman but also simply because my guide is female. My mother's guide is a male so I do know that females can have male guides but I met my inner guide before I even knew that OTHER people had guides too.For awhile I thought I was insane!

Another problem I had with this book is that the author spent about one third of the book answering questions of people who wanted to know more about the Inner Guide Meditation. If you already have a guide and have been working with him/her then this whole section might be a little redundant. The author also gives alot of "have to's."For example, if you don't do it this one way then it won't work.In my personal experience there are so many ways to communicate with your guide. If you're confused just ask your guide.I can't imagine one man's way of working with his guide being the ONLY right way.

5-0 out of 5 stars Like The Method
OK - I'll admit it - even though I wouldn't use everything from this book verbatim and for my own personal use and in my hypnotherapy practice I have adapted some of the techniques from this book - I still find the book a worthwhile reading.

The following exerpt may give you an idea - a gist of this book:

"The following is a lovely example of transforming outer experiences by working with inner archetypes. The process engages "active imagination" and its purpose is to transform one's negative unconscious projections.

The example involves the assistance of an Inner Guide (you may as well just ask the unconscious/superconscious to bring up the appropriate image or just let it surface into your awareness).

Say, for instance, that your neighbor is trying to poison your dog. Ask your Guide to take you to or bring you the image of that neighbor as you know him to be in the outer world. Then give that image permission to take its true form as it lives in you. Say that it turns into Dracula. The Dracula image is a picture of the energy in your that projects out from you onto your neighbor and gets him to try to poison your dog.

Call on the Transformational Energies(these may be energies represented just as Light and Love, or angels, planetary forces, Tarot cards, etc.). If you are familiar with the Tarot cards, you can pick the images/energies of Sun, Fool and High Priestess.

Ask them to send their love into the figure (Dracula) to heal and transform it so that it reaches its highest possible form in you at this time. After they do this, say that the Dracula figure has turned into a King. Dracula and the King are the same energy, the King being its higher, more conscious form.

Ask the King what you have to do new in thought, action or behavior (having nothing to do with your neighbor), so that the energy the King represents in you will remain constant and not sink back into unconsciousness and its Dracula form.

When you have received this information, give the King energy form permission to enter your body. Feel what part of your body this energy lives in and where it radiates from. If the transformation is successful and you have really changed this part of yourself, the neighbor will either change dramatically or go out of your life immediately. Because you have changed your role needs and no longer need a dog poisoner in your reality, the neighbor's choices are to change as a role player for you or leave your reality.

Never work with images of known people from the outer world in the inner world. It tends to sustain rather than release negative unconscious projections. Always ask the image of the known outer world person that your Inner Guided brings you to take its true form AS IT LIVES AS AN ENERGY WITHIN YOU. This insures that you are, in fact, working on an aspect of yourself.

You can go to images of everyone you know and ask each of these outer world figures to take its true form as it lives in you. Here you will get the images of what you are projecting on each of them. It's both fascinating and revealing to do this and to discover just what we are projecting on those people we love best or least."

5-0 out of 5 stars It All Comes Together Here
This book provides a journey into the self that can truly provide the kind of self knowledge that can set you free. The author is an astrologer.I have had my chart done many times and I always came away depressed about aspects in my chart that seemed to doom my life to struggles that I could not win.The author has worked out ways to deal effectively with the things that are a challenge to the individual.I had a marvelous experience with one of the meditation exercises when only a few pages into the book. This solved a health problem that I had for some time. This book has techniques that work for a person such as myself who have been into metaphysics foryears and years, or people that are relatively new to meditation. The people I gave the book to said that it was the first book that worked for them right away. This is not a book just to read, it has techniques than, when practiced, are life changing.

4-0 out of 5 stars You find here few details not available in other books!
I would recommend this book to all who are not in a position to interact directly with meditating groups and teachers. Especially the first section of the book is loaded with many important technical details on how to meditate, which usually are available only by interactions with live teachers (as opposed to purely book knowledge). The only weakness of the text is that the second part of it (questions and answers) strives at addressing too many different topics at the cost of loosing the instructive qualities of the first part. ... Product Description
What would happen if you were to allow everything to be exactly as it is? If you gave up the need for control, and instead embraced the whole of your experience in each moment that arose? In the fourteen years that he studied Zen, Adyashanti found that most seasoned meditators had used the practice as a means to a goal they never reached. What he ultimately realized: that only when you let go of all techniques—even the concept of yourself as a meditator—will you open to the art of true meditation: dwelling in the natural state. True Meditation invites you to join the growing number of seekers who have been touched by the wisdom of Adyashanti to learn:• How to make the "effortless effort" that will vivify the present moment• Meditative self-inquiry and "The Way of Subtraction": how to ask a spiritually powerful question—and determine the real answer• Three guided meditations on CD intended to reveal what Adyashanti calls "your home as awareness itself " "We’ve been taught that awakening is difficult," explains Adyashanti, "that to wake up from the illusion of separation takes years. But all it really takes is a willingness to look into the depths of your experience here and now." True Meditation gives you the opportunity to reclaim the original purpose of meditation— as a gateway to "the objectless freedom of being." ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So simple and so revelatory
As always with Adyashanti, my reaction is - how simple and how revelatory.

After studying meditation for over 40 years, I always find a freshness in the works of Adyashanti that I have found nowhere else.

In his writings on meditation, always I learn a new step to be taken in, as he calls it, the deconstruction of the meditator.

5-0 out of 5 stars Delivered just as the Title Says
I bought the CD version for True Meditation from Adyashanti.I now listen to this set of CDs in my car ride usually.I attended a class a couple years ago around different ways to meditate (Buddhists meditation around compassion, breath, body awareness, mantra, visualization, healing etc).I have been to the Zen Center on a regular basis just to meditate.

This book helps me reconcile all the various type of meditations I learned.Yes, Adyashanti was right that each type of meditation has its purpose to alleviate suffering and help us dream better. These various types of meditations play important roles on the aspects of lessen suffering. In fact, they are usually the stepping stones to the path Adyashanti is pointing to.I am glad I did not purchase this set of CDs a couple years ago because I knew I would have listened to it once (might not be able to even get through it once) and let it gather dust somewhere because I had too pain to "allow everything to be as it is" nor have any extra energy to ask "Who am I".This set of CDs might not be good for beginners who are looking for an approach to lessen suffering (dream better).I would suggest Jon Kabit Zinn's series of books and CDs first unless the person truly feels very ripe and ready for this. There is nothing wrong to dream a little better first before deep realizations and waking up from the dream.

However, when healing starts to take place and suffering has been lessened in one's own psyche, True Meditation might be the one that will help us realize who we truly are (or wake up from the dream of form/delusion/illusion).The CDs talk about the meditator who is trying to control experiences and clarifications on the technicality of posture and eyes (close or open the eyes). His words are very concise and clear in pointing to reality and I love that.

The 3rd CDs has 3 guided meditations. They are tremendously helpful. However, I suggest doing the guided meditation in conjunction to silent meditation using his words as pointers... not to achieve some goal ... but to come back to our natural state of mind.

Yes, some people might say isn't this what Zen has on Shikantaza and Ramana Maharshi's self inquiry approach?Well, there are many fingers pointing to the moon.We can spend countless time in categorizing what Adyashanti's teaching (like examining and categorizing what type of fingers it is) instead of focusing the essence of the teaching (the moon).Which one would you choose?I would much rather spend time looking at the moon personally.

Thank you for reading.

5-0 out of 5 stars Insightful
I love this book.I think it's the best description of meditation I've ever read. It's very practical advice. The photo on the cover is misleading.Don't let the "spiritual clothing" fool you.Adyashanti is actually very down to earth and speaks with everyday language.I highly recomend this book no matter where you are in you meditation practice.Never meditated? This is the perfect place to start!

5-0 out of 5 stars I've Enjoyed the Audio CD
Very clear and cuts out the nonsense. I have both the book and the audio CD, both are good. I have a some minor technique issue differences with Adyashanti, but his "check this out for yourself" attitude is an important voice to be heard.
enjoy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Inspiring...
This is the whole package: beautifully illustrated text, plus CD of guided meditations and a DVD of Master Thich Nhat Hahn explaining the practice of walking meditation. Although the quality of the DVD is not excellent, it provides another dimension to savor and enjoy. I originally bought an e-version of the book for my Iphone, but it was not properly formatted and didn't come with the CD or DVD. There are walking meditations for inside and outside use - perfect to listen to on your digital device as you practice, but buy this version so you have all the media at your fingertips.

5-0 out of 5 stars Positive difference for me the first day
Right away applying a few of the principles and practices affected the quality of my life in a positive way. I enjoyed nature much more, my pets, other people. Even doing shopping today it was helpful to me. I paid less than $17 for all 3 - the book, the DVD and CD-ROM. I had paid close to $100 for a DVD on mindfulness by an eminent psychologist, and it did nothing for me. This was an excellent purchase for me, felt like a gift.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lack of subtitles or closed cpations
I'm disappointed I purchased this DVD hoping it could be something I can add to my daily walks in the morning and afternoon only to my disappointments there is no closed captions or subtitles. I have to give this a rating of one star.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I purchased it for the included DVD as I already owned a number of audio cds and books on Walking Meditation. This DVD does not teach or demonstrate the actual technique (Lift-Bend-Lower the foot). It is instead a lecture on the benefits of Walking Meditation. The book is also not enlightening. I did not bother to listen to the included audio cd.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must-have
If you are searching for an in-depth understanding of not only the Buddhist mindset, but also how the Buddha mindset can lead to peace of mind and of spirit, this is an must-have on your bookshelves.

As a sufferer of anxiety disorders for more than twenty years, I started exploring Buddhism and Mindfulness as a way to handle the intrusive and destructive thoughts. It was a marvelous insight for me - of which this book aided in the unwraveling - that our thoughts are merely transient and ephemeral events which need not be reacted too, but instead need only be seen and, at most, responded to.

I greatly recommend this book to anyone suffering in the world today, and I greatly hope they find the peace I am beginning to see for myself.

Product Description

Driven by the desire to help her three-year-old daughter settle down into a peaceful night's sleep, Maureen Garth devised meditations that would help her daughter feel secure and cared for. Starbright is a collection of the stories Garth created as her child grew older. These innovative meditations are simple visualizations parents and teachers can read to their children to help them sleep, develop concentration, awaken creativity, and learn to quiet themselves.

"Unfortunately, a lot of children have trouble learning these techniques by the time they are seven or eight," writes Garth. "Relaxation and visualization, if taught at an earlier age, could enhance not only children's school work but other areas of their lives. Their concentration would improve; their artistic abilities would develop; they would feel more centered; their daydreaming could not only bring joy, but be constructive."

In her engaging, warm, and personal style, Garth teaches parents how to help their children relax, concentrate, and develop artistic and mental abilities, as well as enjoy a good night's sleep. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter's are asking for meditations every night!
I bought this to helping my 11 yr old daughter settle in better. She says she looks forward to it. She definately is falling asleep faster. My 13 yr old began asking me to tell her a meditation too after a few days. After reading a few, I began improvising my own, following the same patterns, and I'm enjoying the creative exercise.
I have a family child care for 0-5 year olds, and I have been using the simple star image and garden adventure pattern as they settle into nap as well. When I ask if they want me to tell about the star it is always yes!

Starbright--Meditations for Children
Perfect for use with groups of children or to put your own children to sleep. The visualizations are short and creative. My daughter will usually pick 2 a night. She closes her eyes while I read Maureen Garth's melodic verses. I too enjoy losing myself in the visualizations. Each night we pick a different story. Be it panda bears or fairies or waterfalls or clouds or even dancing shoes. We love having such a wide selection. The author also has 2 other books which are equally enjoyable. Each chapter is very relaxing, very comforting. I also enjoy adding deep breathing and affirmations to our bedtime routine with such books as Sea Otter Cove. It is worth a little bit of effort to help your child sleep peacefully.

5-0 out of 5 stars a must for your spiritual child's collection
I purchased this book for my 9 year old daughter who was trying to make the transition back to school this past fall. She had become very anxious and I wanted a way to help her calm herself before she went to bed each night.Together we read the stories and she just loved them. She even brought the book to school to share with her teacher and fourth grade classmates, who loved it too.I really feel it has helped her!(Since then we have given even copies as birhtday gifts withhandmade beaded bookmarks.)Overall, Big Hit!

4-0 out of 5 stars Child begs for reading nightly
Before obtaining Starbright, my 6 year old has asked about fires and bombs (school fire drills & TV news)before being tucked into bed.He now insists on being read about the gardens so he doesn't have bad dreams. In the morning, he relates more and more positive dreams.

I am relieved to have his fears reduced in a few short weeks.I think the "sequel" Moonbeam is next on our list.Thank you Ms. Garth.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for all children
This book and the others by Maureen Garth have been a blessing in our home.My 6 and 8 year old love them.In fact, I'm not sure they can sleep without them anymore! They are quick to jump in bed and settle down so that they are able to find out what happens in their garden each night.Their imaginations are growing and they are relaxing. Both kids have a history of terrible nightmares and neither have mentioned a single bad dream since we begun these exercises.I'm growing in confidence, too!The other night, I actually made up my own garden story and it's been one of their favorite's so far!

For those of you who are concerned about compromising your faith with these books, don't be!On the contrary, the focus on light, growing your heart in love for all people and feeling safe with a guardian angel are all wonderful images and fall right in line with our Christian faith.

I love these books and I have even begun buying them for friends. What a great gift to give a child: the gift of peace, relaxation, imagination and a good night's sleep filled with pleasant dreams. ... Read more

Product Description
This meditation is an authentic rendering of Yoga Nidra as taught in the Himalayas by the masters of Yoga, Vedanta and Tantra. While it is an advanced meditation practice, anyone can start the practice while watching it deepen over time.

Yoga Nidra literally means "Yogic Sleep." In this deep meditation you train your attention to leave the chatter of the Waking state of mind, go past the fantasy of the Dreaming state, and consciously, intentionally enter the stillness of the Deep Sleep state, yet paradoxically remain awake and in deep meditation. For thousands of years the Yogis have used Yoga Nidra to master the art of sleep, to balance the subtle energies, and to experience greater depths of meditation.

The state of conscious Deep Sleep or Yoga Nidra is underneath, behind, or subtler than meditations at either the Waking or Dreaming levels. This subtle state is called "Prajna," which means "supreme knowing." "Pra" means "supreme," and "jna" means "knowing." The conscious experience of this state is a doorway to higher, formless knowing that has been called the infinite library of wisdom and the teacher within.

The depth of authentic Yoga Nidra comes from inner awareness of the levels of your own self, including your body, breath, and the subtler mind, rather than diverting attention through music or inner fantasies (as pleasant as these may be). This inner exploring through self-awareness is a more refined form of meditation that leads you deeper into the stillness and silence of your own being, while remaining fully awake and aware. The Yoga Nidra methods bring you to a place of awareness where you are able to completely let go of any words, thoughts, images, impressions, or pictures in the mind. You are guided to allow your mind to "empty, empty, empty" though you remain fully awake and clear of mind.

The practices on this CD will gently train your ability to direct your own attention, which is the primary skill in the art of meditation. You will find that you are gradually able to use these methods on your own, without the CD, and the benefits will be with you not only during your practice time, but also during the activities of daily life.

The voice will systematically guide you to explore your physical body, then move through 61 specific points within the body, and then practice ascending breath awareness along the body and spine. Your attention will be brought to the space between the eyebrows, then to the throat, and finally to the heart center, where you will go deep into stillness and silence, beyond the activities of the mind.

The Yoga Nidra CD has five tracks. The first track is an introduction (8:02 minutes), describing the state of Yoga Nidra and the practices on the CD. The next four tracks move through four sequential practices that are listened to together, so as to form a complete practice of 57:24 minutes (CD is 65:36 minutes in total). These four tracks can also be listened to individually, as complete practices unto themselves, which allows you to have the benefits of practice when less time is available. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very usefull meditation
I heard this CD several times. Some others critizice the author, either because they are falling asleep or the did not hear music. I have lsitened to serveral guided meditations. Most of them without music. I have some relaxation CDs, too. For me relaxation is not meditation.I agree that this is no meditation for beginners. Espacially not track 4. To me it seems that some people have unrealistic expectations to meditation CDs. Meditation needs training. And one should not start with the most complicated. To me it is an excellent CD, especially because it is without music, but pure meditation.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not my cup o tea
I have been meditating for over 15 years. I did not particularly like this meditation. Way too much talk, difficult to follow, instructions too quick. . Definately not for the novice.Just my 2 cents

2-0 out of 5 stars Not so good for insomniacs
I bought this CD in the hope it would help with severe, intractable insomnia I have had for the last 5 years. Several times during the session I found myself drifting off, but then the voice would startle me awake. I found it to be irritating because it kept waking me up. I don't know if this is how the CD/Yoga Nidra is supposed to be used but I would not recommend this particular recording if you are trying to relieve insomnia.

5-0 out of 5 stars powerful & relaxing
This is great, but if you are looking for a simple progressive relaxation meditation with a healing backing track and a soothing british accent Isobel Aura's Heavenly Relaxation Meditation I would recommend highly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Soooooooooo helpful
I switch back and forth between using this CD and Richard Miller's CD. Between the pair of them, I have gotten tremendous results. Because I use meditation to supplement treatments for illness, I can see how much it has effectively touched my entire life. My body heals faster and my treatment sessions have become much more effective and I am progressing so much faster. The more I practice meditating, the more effective it becomes and yoga nidra has become such a powerful tool on the road to recovery. ... Read more

Product Description
This classic teaching by a Tibetan master continues to inspire both beginners and long-time practitioners of Buddhist meditation. Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche shows that meditation extends beyond the formal practice of sitting to build the foundation for compassion, awareness, and creativity in all aspects of life.

He explores the six activities associated with meditation in action—generosity, discipline, patience, energy, clarity, and wisdom—revealing that through simple, direct experience, one can attain real wisdom: the ability to see clearly into situations and deal with them skillfully, without the self-consciousness connected with ego. ... Great teaching from one of the Tibetan masters of our age. Perfect book to give to those interested in Buddhism and meditation, and to re-read periodically.

1-0 out of 5 stars this person is a thief
I never received it this person is a thief. good thing it was cheap or I'd be making a fuss

5-0 out of 5 stars It is everything and nothing you would expect!
I must confess I had to edit my initial review on this book, so here is the reason why:

When I purchased this book, I did it because a meditation teacher recommended it to me because he felt it would help me to understand the correct approach and attitudes towards meditation practice. As a westerner, I believed that I was going to buy an instruction manual, step-by-step ingredients and mixing and cooking instructions on how-to-meditate almost as if it were a recipe book.As I read on, at first I could not understand most of its teachings, since (according to my expectations) the book had little or nothing to do with meditation.Nowadays, I find these teachings inspirational, since they relate to the overall loving attitude that naturally arises towards meditation practice.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Small but Necessary Punch for Two Stong Punches!
This is the first book I read of Trungpa's. This is the first time that Idiscovered that there was a "Chogyam Trungpa". I greedily took ithome from the Bodhi Tree, read it, and then grimaced as I realized that youneeded a teacher (not so today!). So I took some Valium and went into theDharmadhatu Center in L.A. and received meditation instruction. This was1977 so it wasa brave deed. And since I had no feeling in my brain orbody, I did quite well. A brunette sat down with me and taught me about thefamous "outbreath". Chogyam Trungpa was officially my"teacher". Later, I would find out that he was an outrageousmadman (no slander, Amazon.com. Even his present students admit this!) Thebook is a brillant way to begin to "read up" on Trungpa. It's asoft blow. It will give good insight into Trungpa's teachings. But thisseries of lectures were given in Scottland in 1968, I believe. Trungpawouldn't hit his stride until years later. After reading this, read"Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism" and "The Myth ofFreedom". The title is a bit misleading. In the Kagyu (just say"cog-you" and you will get away with it) Tradition of TibetanBuddhism, they more or less depend on sitting meditation to trigger offmindfulness. As one student told me, "They sit like pigs". Theyhave been criticized by the other three Tibetan traditions for it.So ifyou are buying this book from Amazon.com because of the title"Meditation in Action" - forget it. Buy "The Miracle ofMinfulness" by Thich Nhat Hanh and vote for my review as you examineit! But if you are buying this book as an introduction to Trungpa'sbrillant teachings, then BUY THIS BOOK! Thank you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
These practices are a wonderful way to have a great master lead the core meditation practices in the comfort of your own living room. Thank you Jack Kornfield for this and your many other gifts to humanity.

4-0 out of 5 stars quality
This is a great collection of meditations, includes a variety of practices and Jack Kornfield's voice is very soothing. It is down to earth and simple, not cheesy and new agey. I like to use a variety of guided meditations or I get used to one and don't really listen/do it. Along with Bodhipaksa Guided Meditations: For Calmness, Awareness, and Love and Jon Kabat-Zinn Guided Mindfulness Meditation, this is one of the best cd's in my opinion.

2-0 out of 5 stars Too much talking...didn't care much for this one.
It's okay. It's way beginner level, I thought. Too much talking. I was disappointed. I don't even think I went on to listen to the entire CD.
Oh well. I'll recycle it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Accessible Meditation for Everyone
I've meditated over the years, but only recently discovered this CD of guided meditations. I use it often and have given it as a gift because I value its simplicity and straightforward approach. It's a great introduction to meditation as well as a call back to the "beginner's mind" for people who aren't new to the practice.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Good
The meditations a easy to follow. I've tried other guided meditation CDs and they sometimes have distracting anecdotes in the middle of the meditation. This one doesn't. There is a brief introduction to each meditation that can be skipped once you get the hang of it. ... Read more

Product Description
Written in a warm and easily accessible style, the book appeals to anyone with an interest in meditation, Zen, or, as is often the case today, a combination of the two. Zen Meditation in Plain English emphasizes the importance of receiving good instruction and of finding groups to practice with, yet it lays out the necessary steps to practice Zen meditation on your own. The book includes easily followed exercises to help the reader along. An excellent, practical introduction, this book represents the culmination of the search for a clear and insightful path into the philosophy and practice of Zen meditationAmazon.com Review
The jolt of confidence you get when discussing a day's performance with a seasoned veteran can take any activity to a higher level. In his concise and informative Zen Meditation in Plain English, meditation veteran John Daishin Buksbazen gives detailed directions for each step of Zen-style meditation, from getting into the different postures and developing breath concentration, all the way up to intensive training periods. With only one short chapter on what the mind should be doing while "sitting" (as they say in Zen), his focus is on getting the fundamentals right. He also offers a rare introduction to the importance and mechanics of group practice and a well-selected "Frequently Asked Questions" section at the end. While Buksbazen repeatedly says that there is no substitute for a good teacher, until you find one, Zen Meditation in Plain English will do nicely. --Brian Bruya ... Read more

AFTERWARD, FAQ's, and APPENDIXES
----------------------------------------

As you can see, many different aspects of Zen and meditation are covered in this book. However, I feel like the book would benefit from offering more meditation instruction. For some reason the author decided to not include a picture of the half-lotus position. This is OK, but slightly annoying, and I would be bummed if I were a novice and had to rely on description alone. The author states on page 37 that starting by sitting about 15 or even 10 minutes a day is enough, but then on page 107 in the FAQ's the author states that even a few minutes a few times a week is OK. So which is it? As a beginner I would not appreciate this apparent contradiction.

The book is listed as 128 pages, but this only exaggerates the amount of material that is actually in this book. This number includes ABOUT THE AUTHOR and PUBLISHER pages, and a lot of other pages in the beginning of the book devoid of actual content. The text on each page is pretty big, and the spacing between the book's content is liberal. All I'm saying is that this could all be condensed into about 40 or 50 pages with all of the exact same material. There's really not a lot of material in this book, which is OK, but it's unfair to exaggerate the material with numbers.

I did find the FURTHER READING and stretching exercises included in the appendixes to be very helpful. That said, this is a pretty good beginner's meditation book, and I would recommend it, but I definitely think the book could have been better.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great introduction to the basics of Zazen meditation
However, if you are looking for something with more depth (perhaps after you have read "Zen... In Plain English") would be Robert Aitken's "Taking the Path of Zen". A much richer book! But I still think Plain English is still worthy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Simple, practical and straightforward
This is a very concise introduction to Zen meditation. It is particularly well suited to a beginner, particularly a Western beginner. The author is also credible with a background in both the Zen tradition and Western psychology.

5-0 out of 5 stars Zen Meditation in Plain English
It is practical guide for beginners who are interested in
meditation. It shows the precise way to sit. The supplementary exercises written in the appendices are indeed very useful. It limbers up and allows one to sit longer.Secondly, it is written in simple English. Anyone who does not have a glossary of Buddhist Terminology can understand. Thirdly, it teaches one to be aware and mindful - sitting is just sitting;be it a "good" or "hard" sitting.

5-0 out of 5 stars Destined to be a Classic
You can always pretty much guarantee that if Wisdom Books publishes the book, it's guaranteed to be concise and helpful to followers of the "Way" ; and so it is in this book.
This book is destined to become in the future a classic guide for beginner's of Zen meditation. In loving and uncomplicated prose, John Daishin Buksbazen uncovers the actual core of Zen: the straightforward practice of following our breath and in so doing awakening to our life as the Buddha.

Zen Meditation in Plain English offers a durable foundation for meditation, illuminating the significance of finding ourselves a good teacher practicing with a community of practitioners, while also giving us instruction on how to practice in the meantime on our own (or in addition to with others). John Daishan Buksbazen was another great student of the late Taizan Maezumi Roshi, one of the most prolific Zen masters of modern times. Don't miss this book! It's a must have for any beginner. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A wise, calming, peaceful little book
This is a delightful little book, which brought me peace and calm just by reading it.

Thich Nhat Hanh is a wise Zen master, who lives in exile in France, in a community called Plum Village. He tells us we must learn to make "peaceful, anxiety-free" steps. Walking with mindfulness brings us "real happiness".

He teaches us how to walk noticing our breath and the number of steps we take whilst breathing in and out. If we take three steps while breathing in and four steps while breathing out, we can say to ourselves, for instance, "In, in, in" and "Out, out, out, out", one word for each step. At the same time we might imagine we're walking majestically like a tiger. We should keep a "half-smile" on our face while we walk. When we focus on the present moment in this way, all our worries disappear.

You can practise the walking meditation on the way to your car, or up and down the stairs. If possible, however, walk in a park or some other place where you're in contact with nature.

Hanh tells us that the Buddha imprinted peace and joy in the Earth with each step he took, When we walk as he did, we continue this work.

The book includes photos of Thich Nhat Hanh and others practising the walking meditation, some of the photos being from his community in Plum Village.

Towards the end of the book we are presented with examples of the author's poems. For example, the following little gem, entitled "Walking Peace":

Peace is the walk.
Happiness is the walk.

Walk for yourself
and you walk for everyone.

I highly recommend this peaceful little book. However, I must point out that it takes practice to coordinate one's breathing with one's steps and thus perform the meditation correctly. But practice makes perfect.

3-0 out of 5 stars walking meditation handbook
Book was good and easy to take along w/ you as you walk, but price was too high for such a small book.

3-0 out of 5 stars Publishers reviews misrepresented content-Nice gift book.
As a long time fan and believer in the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, this book was not what I expected. The editorial and publishers reviews I read on other sites misrepresentated the books actual format and content. I was expecting a real "book" and not a poetic picture book. I expected more in depth writing and not just bits of wise poetry. The book is fine for what it is, as anything that this amazing author writes is very worthy of our time, but from what I had read about it I had been expecting more. It fell short of the publishers reviews but that does not mean it is not a good little book. I ordered it here after I read about it on other sites, and did not see the photo description here on Amazon. Had I seen the cover and been able to look inside, for some reason I was unable to do this when I ordered it here on Amazon?, I wold not have been disappointed and probably not ordered it. It does make a very nice gift book especially to a friend who is not familiar with his writing or someone who is too busy to spend much time reading. Nicely done for what it presents. I gave it the 3stars because of my disappointment.

5-0 out of 5 stars WELCOME, WONDERFUL, REWARDING REPRINT OF WALKING MEDITATION JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR WALKING
You can take it with you.

At the size of a standard photograph, this book is designed to slip easily into your walking pocket to keep you mindful of the mindfulness necessary for walking meditation.

This text now comes in a variety of media, including VHS and DVD, but the Parallax Press reprint is expecially useful and welcome for those actually practicing the prayer of walking meditation.

We are a Pilgrim Church; let us grow most profoundly mindful of the Immanent Presence and Path.

This book is a sheer delight and instruction by the great and prolific monk Thich Nhat Hanh, still in exile from his native Vietnam, nominated by the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, JR. in 1967 for the Nobel Peace Prize and still actively fighting for peace literally with every mindful breath ever since that distant time forty yeares ago.

Christian, Catholic, Muslim or Jew, Hindu or Sikh, this book will do you no harm; it is not a threat to your path but an aid to walking truly and deeply your own path. It brings you to a deeper realization of the path which you truly walk. With this book you cannot go wrong, but ever more right. Read it in peace while you walk. Read it while you walk with your family. Read it and know consciously the path that you walk.

Dante begins his great trilogy announcing that he awoke while walking within a dark woods in the middle of his life, discovering perils on all sides but the path through hell to paradise. By this book may you awaken to your path, and may it lead us all together to the true Paradise which awaits all those who walk in peace and compassion as commanded.

Once upon a time, and still regularly in my parish in Mexico, we Catholics took prayerful walks together in processions, every day in May, in Lent, in Advent (posadas), for the Virgen de Guadalupe, very mindful and prayerful walks meditating the mysteries of our Faith, conscious as here of everything we did upon our walk, deeply mindful. Outside of my small and traditional parish in Mexico we have mostly lost this tradition. We do well to regain it. We begin by this book, remembering how to pray on our feet, like the Israelis escaping Egypt, to pray fully mindful, with all of our hearts and souls, on the run, a Pilgrim Church.

Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great introduction to meditation...
Thich Nhat Hanh recently spoke to the United States Congress about peace, violence, compassion, and listening. He suggested that members of Congress can find both inner and universal peace through walking meditation, or mindful walking. This tiny book serves as an introduction to this practice. Each page represents an idea, and the first page proclaims "Anyone can do it." Reading on, the book reveals the true simplicity of walking meditation, and validates the claim that "anyone can do it." Controlling one's breath is not the goal, but being aware of one's breath, being aware of the earth and one's feet against it. The book explains how to accomplish this in incredibly easy to understand language. Short stories about the Buddah and Thich Nhat Hanh's experiences with walking meditation, as well as many photos, punctuate the lessons. The book also suggests practical applications for walking meditation: dealing with anger, panic, and helping to find solutions to immediate problems. A great introduction to meditation and the thought of Thich Nhat Hahn. ... Read more
