Extractions: These are the Motorola Single Board Computers that NetBSD/mvme68k supports. These are the other supported VMEbus boards that NetBSD/mvme68k supports. CPU-specific support for the MVME147 family of Single Board Computers was written by Chuck Cranor. Initially introduced in 1988, the MVME147 family is Motorola's oldest Single Board Computer (SBC) product. It was the first VME board with integrated networking, serial communications, mass storage interface, and parallel port. This VMEbus SBC is based on the MC68030 microprocessor. NetBSD/mvme68k runs on Motorola MVME147 boards, with as little as 4MB of RAM, though 8MB or more is recommended Note: Nearly all of the on-board MVME147 hardware is supported: Parallel port SCSI (most disks, tapes, CD-ROMs, etc)

If you do not see your device listed here, check your platform's page; there may not yet be a machine-independent driver for your device. Alternatively, it may be the case that your device is compatible with one listed here, or your device may not be listed due to an oversight. Extractions: The following list outlines hardware that the OpenBSD project could use. Some of this is being requested so that developers can improve or add driver support for devices which are rare; other requests are for hardware that will improve our development environment. In either case, we think we are being reasonable at asking for these devices. If you do not own these devices, but want to help us, we recommend you search on eBay for the devices. If you do the bidding and then get the device shipped to us, it really helps us. It's much better if our developers do not need to spend the time going through the bidding process, since any time saved can be spent on improving OpenBSD instead. As a reasonably large quantity of OpenBSD developers and users are in northern Europe we have setup a specific want list for that area. If you are in that region, go here first to check what developers close to you are in need of or want to work on support for. In each case, please contact

Abit AN6 The Abit AN6 is the first Slot One board I've ever seen and considering its age of almost 5 months it's doing a pretty good job. However, this board cannot be recommended right now, because I was completely unable to run any SCSI host adapter on this board, which is certainly a crucial thing in this class. I will receive a new board as well as a new BIOS revision very soon and then I'm sure it will run with SCSI disks just as well.

Sun Hardware Reference: Overview s of boards by type hardware commonly used with Suns, especially hardware specifically designed III ***boards CPU, memory, video, scsi http://www.obsolyte.com/sunFAQ/faq_hardware/hwref0.html
Extractions: Version: 1.4/1.6 - April 1995 This primary focus of this document is to cover Sun-badged hardware in detail sufficient to be useful to buyers and collectors of used Sun hardware, much of which comes without documentation. Details on hardware commonly used with Suns, especially hardware specifically designed for Suns, are also included where available. The focus is generally on older equipment, since information on newer equipment is more readily available, from Sun itself if nowhere else. In particular, no effort is made to keep up with Sun's introduction of new SPARC models. Note that there is no warranty of any kind on the information in this document. It has been assembled from a variety of sources of varying reliability. Efforts have been made to exclude information known to be incorrect, and to include only information deemed reasonably reliable, but there is no guarantee on any of it, especially since official Sun documents occasionally contradict each other. THIS DOCUMENT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. I still have a fair amount of information which I have not had time to integrate yet. In addition, if you have documentation for systems or boards not listed here, speak up! I would really like to get ahold of a Sun Field Engineer's Handbook, but I can't afford $500 for a new one and nobody seems to want to part with an old one. Even the opportunity to borrow one would be appreciated.
