Extractions: Yes, you read that right. I'm talking a search engine from AFGHANISTAN! Hey, is this a sign that the country is about to break loose from third world squalor and intolerance? You decide. I just think this is a fascinating site. Note the only sport listed under Sports: Buzkashi. The variously spelled pastime involves tossing a dead calf across a goal line and may last as long as a week. Hey, it beats the NBA! Rated G I came across this site the other day, and wanted to share it with you. It is a simple site, but one that has so much potential for fun, that I spent an hour here the first time I saw it. The site is called Ask Jeeves, and it is simply that. You ask a question by typing it into the computer, and it gives you an answer. But it isn't just an answer. The site goes out and gathers a multitude of resources about your question. For example, the first one I asked was How rich is Bill Gates? It gave me not only information about Bill, his estimated worth, and where to find his NY Times column, but also information about the winning lottery numbers, and press coverage of the infamous pastry incident in Europe. The potpourri of information is truly astounding. So for some fun moments on the net, try this site out. It is a real cyber-trip.

I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents. If my parents agree to the meeting, I will be sure that it is in a public place and bring my mother or father along. I will never send a person my picture or anything else without first checking with my parents. I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do I will tell my parents right away so that they can contact the service provider. I will talk with my parents so that we can set up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of day that I can be online, the length of time I can be online, and appropriate areas for me to visit. I will not access other areas or break these rules without their permission. I will be a good online citizen and not do anything that hurts other people or is against the law.
