5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific low carb cookbook
I have not had a chance to actually try any of the recipes yet, since I just got the book, but I've read through a lot of them and it looks great.Real food for real people, with ingredients that are fairly easy to find, unlike so many of the diet cookbooks that seem to focus on items that are only available in certain parts of the country or require a good health food store to provide them.In a half-hour of skimming through the book, I managed to bookmark about 8 recipes for future reference, and will be trying the first of them within a few days.I hope they are as good as they look.It's going to make living a low carb lifestyle so much easier.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Great Cookbook by Dana Carpender!
I have three of Dana Carpender's cook books and I enjoy each one.Everything that I cook now for dinner comes from one of these cookbooks.Even my husband is enjoying the low-carb dishes that I make each week.We both are trying to exercise regularly and eat more healthy food.Dana Carpender's cookbooks really help to give you healthy options.There are also snacks to make like Cinnamon Splenda nuts and Worcestershire nuts that are really yummy!

5-0 out of 5 stars SUPER book about low card eating.
I love ALL Dana Carpender's books.She is terrific, knowledgeable and comical.I have all her books and wouldn't part with any one of them.My favorite is 500 MORE LOW-CARB RECIPES.All the recipes are from low carbers and most everything I've made is terrific.If you are doing low carb.....you need these books.

1-0 out of 5 stars Simplistic, poorly seasoned food
This book is such a disappointment if you have spent any time in a kitchen. Also, I'm not sure if this is a cultural issue because the author is from Indiana and I am from the South, but I found that the seasoning and taste of every recipe that I tried to be unappetizing. Her claims of liking things hot should not be believed. Because this book requires so much tinkering to get the flavors correct I can't even suggest it for someone who would benefit from directions on how to make omelets or deviled eggs. If you are looking to learn how to cook I say check out Mastering the Art of French Cooking. You will learn how to make eggs, sauces, meats and vegetables.I can also suggest George Stella's cookbooks for delicious low-carb cooking.

5-0 out of 5 stars 500 Low Carb
I love this book. My husband and I just started a low carb diet and this is making it so much easier. I also purchase the 15 minute low carb recipes and I highly recomend that book too. GREAT and FANTASTIC! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good descriptions- check tour availabiltiy
I really enjoyed the book.The tour descriptions and company histories were accurate and entertaining.However, after going to 2 of the tours in one day, I noted that both tour availability entries in the book were inaccurate.Since companies change their tour availabilities, please call and check before you go.Overall, though, the book made for a lot of fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars A New World of Outings
Pennsylvania Snacks" is a treasure . . .for parents, for grandparents, and for adults of all ages who enjoy offbeat activities.

For an outing, if you take kids to the movies,and they may remember it for months. Take them to a pretzel factory and they'll remember it for years, or for a lifetime. Want to create really sweet memories . . . take your children, or your grandchildren . . . or whomever. . . to a candy factory.They are not likely to ever forget it.

Sharon Hernes Silverman, a writer with many credits in travel publications, leads her readers by the hand, telling them where to find the food factories, and all about the tours, including previews.She is extremely thorough, and even takes the trouble to explain the manufacturing processes in clear terms that are bound to add greatly to what visitors will understand about what they see in the factories.

This book is a passport to many very pleasant and interesting days. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Anyone for a Monkey Milkshake?This is a kid friendly cookbook with recipes that range from easy to advanced!

Everyone likes to swing through the kitchen now and then to open the refrigerator to see if there is something scrumptious to snack on, kids not excluded. In Holy Guacamole there are many easy to prepare (and easier to eat!) whip up and serve recipes to satisfy most any palate. The recipes range from sweet to spicy and range from easy to advanced preparation.

Easy recipes include: Pineapple Popsicles, Pimiento Cheese Dip, Quesadilla Bites, Quick energy Trail Mix and Citrusy Soda Pop. Intermediate: Mini Pepperoni Pizzas, Spicy Tortilla Chips, Monkey Milkshakes, Chili Cheese Popcorn, Raisiny Applesauce, Yogurt Fruit Kabobs and Parmesan Pita Chips. Advanced: Gooey Granola Bars and Holy Guacamole!

I read this book from cover to cover savoring the recipes and admiring the art work. In addition to the recipes there is a food pyramid, a note to parents, safety tips, and, for such a short book, a very well done index. A special "code" listed in the back can be plugged into Facthound. There the aspiring cook can find two more health related sites to think about and explore and find four additional kid friendly cookbooks. I think I'd like to go make one of those Monkey Milkshakes!

5-0 out of 5 stars Part of the thoroughly kid-friendly 'Kids Dish' series
Part of the thoroughly kid-friendly 'Kids Dish' series of cookbooks for children from Picture Window Books, "Holy Guacamole! And Other Scrumptious Snacks" is a picturebook style compilation of do-it-yourself recipes for children ages 6 to 8 and in grades 1 to 3.compiled by Nick Fouchald and illustrated by Rick Peterson. The recipes are organized into three sections: Easy; Intermediate; and Advanced. They range from Pineapple Popsicles; Quick Energy Trail Mix; and Mini Pepperoni Pizzas; to Chili Cheese Popcorn; Yogurt Fruit Kabobs; and Gooey Granola Bars. Featuring 'Notes to Kids and Parents', 'MyPyramid', Special Tips and Glossary, Conversion Chart, and Kitchen Tools information, "Holy Guacamole! And Other Scrumptious Snacks" is an excellent resource for teaching children kitchen safety, nutrition, and the joy of cooking. Of special note is the FactHouse website relating to the topics covered along with the recipes. Also very highly recommended for family and community library cookbook collections for children are the other titles in this outstanding 'Kids Dish' series: "Chocolate Chill-Out Cake And Other Yummy Desserts (9781404839977); "Indoor S'mores And Other Tasty Treats For Special Occasions" (9781404840003); "Keep On Rollin' Meatballs And Other Delicious Dinners" (9781404839984, $18.95); "Puffy Popovers And Other Get-Out-Of-Bed Breakfasts" (9781404839960); and "Walk-Around Tacos And Other Likeable Lunches" (9781404839991). Although each of these highly prized titles are available individually (List $25.26 / Library $18.95), homeschoolers, elementary schools, and community libraries would be well advised to acquire the entire series (9781404843653, List $151.56 / Library $113.70).

Each of these short stories may touch your soul.But one may strike you in particular. I enjoy singing the hymns that express my faith. Therefore those stories that examplify ones faith through the use of music were my favorite stories:'It Is Well With My Soul' and 'O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus' are wonderful hymns of faith. My sister and I shared this book while she was visiting me.We were astounded at the comments people made about how they felt spiritually at the end of the day.We say 'Count Your Many Blessings Name Them One by One and It will Surprise You What the Lord Has Done! 5-0 out of 5 stars That Dana Carpender Knows Her Stuff
Of all the low carb cookbooks I own, those by Dana Carpender really strike a chord with me.I like her books for several reasons.

In the beginning, she covers items essential to a low carb pantry and her product knowledge is vast.For example, she explains the difference among soy powder, soy flour and soy milk as well as discussing different polyols and their pros and cons, and includes resources for online purchase of low carb products.

Her books do not just contain one or 2 recipes that one might use, but many that are worth a try.When I am looking for a low carb recipe, I go first to Dana.I have done breads, muffins, quiches, catsup, eggplant parmesan, mockalhua and stuffed mushrooms, to name a few.

Finally, she writes in a breezy style that I find appealing, and offers suggestions for options and substitutions in the recipes.Reading her books has given me many ideas as to how to create the foods I want to eat while keeping the carbs under control.As I am not great fan of eggs, seemingly the mainstay of low carb breakfasting, her breakfast and baked goods recipes are most useful to me.

I currently own 3 of her books and although I already own too many cookbooks, I'm being tempted to buy her slow cooker book.I would unreservedly recommend her books to anyone who wants to move those high carb foods out of his/her kitchen, replace them with low carb substitutes and use those substitutes to create tasty, low carb dishes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dana rocks every time
I have to say I am biased.I have been follow Dana for a long time, via internet at first, then through her book "How I Gave up my Low Fat Diet and Lost 40 lbs."Now I collect her cook books.Sometimes a recipe is so simple it's more of a "why didn't I think of that" and other times it's an elaborate luxury.Either way, the majority of the recipes in her books fit right with my own tastes.Any serious low carb lifer needs her books as the variety and creativity will enrich their dining experiences.

5-0 out of 5 stars Consistently Good
I liked this book so much that I bought a second one for my daughter.Although it does use products that I haven't bought, and vegetables like cauliflower that don't really taste like potatoes, the recipes are enjoyed by all members of the family.She goes to a lot of trouble to point us into a direction where we are not using tons of bowls and pans, which I really appreciate.Many of the recipes are quick and easy to make as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Why would anyone sell this book!
I bought this book used from Amazon.com and frankly I was skeptical.The reviews are what made me buy it. I have bought cookbooks in the past and paid up to $30.00 for them and was able to use only 1, maybe 2, recipes from the book.This book is AWESOME!I am actually reading it page for page.I tried 2 recipes the day I got it and can't wait to try more.I am about to order all Dana's other books.Again my question is why would anyone ever sell this book!

5-0 out of 5 stars A low carbers life saver!
Even though I have always loved to cook, I lost the desire to do so after starting the low carb lifestyle a little over a year ago. Bland salads and grilled chicken breasts were my staples. I found myself browsing the cookbook section of a book store one day and began flipping through Dana's book - I was hooked. I picked it up and spent 4 hours straight reading everything (I had a long car ride to do so). I spent about two weeks making all sorts of recipes from this book and fell in love with cooking all over again. I still use recipes from this and several of her other books several times a week, but I finally popped back into the creative mood and spend the other days experimenting with my own low carb recipes!! Thanks Dana. (c:

4-0 out of 5 stars Could be improved
The pros: tasty recipes
Easy-to-follow directions.

The cons :
NO index, so specific recipes are difficult to find.

The same first 10 pages or so are contained in each of her books, so you pay for that over and over again if you buy more than one.

Not sure if the cost-vs-benefit ratio is good. IMO, ALL her books could have been condensed into one--WITH an index!--for half the price or less than all of her books purchased separately.

3-0 out of 5 stars lack of colour
I was extremely excited about receiving my books since I had ordered a few of them and planned to get all.
But I was even more disappointed to learn that none of them had pictures. The website is what really sold me on getting them since it was all colourful but very disheartened when i learned they didn't have any pictures as a form of reference.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another great book from Kristen Suzanne
Another great raw vegan cookbook by Kristen Suzanne. Who couldn't use more recipes for sides and snacks?
Ch 1. Raw Basics. This is really great info that is in all of her Easy Raw books. I use her Minute nut milk recipe at least once a week.
Ch 2. Side Dishes.. Side dishes are great to take to family gatherings.
Some of the recipes in this chapter are:

* Mashed cauliflower with ginger and garlic
* Black Hummus
* Mouth- Watering Delicious Cranberry Relish
* Greg's Marinated Olives
* Flying Dragon Broccoli
* Frais Fries
* The Greatest Hummus in the World

Ch 3 Spreads, Dips and Sauces

* Kristen Suzanne's Famous Olive Tapenade
* Giddee-Up Avocado Dip
* Seaside Cottage Spread
* Light-n-Lively Tahini Parsely Dressing
* Raw Savory Sweet Ketchup
* Cheezy Nacho Dip
* Herbin' Ranch Dip
* Creamy Zinger Garlic Dip

Ch 4 Snacks

* Simply Sweet Pumpkin Seeds
* Sweet Vanilla Rain Sunflower Seeds
* Cajun Spice Nuts
* Zucchini Munchies

Ch 5 Breakfast

* Sunny Morning Cereal
* Creamy Breakfast Mousse
* Carnival Caramel Apple Breakfast

This is a great cookbook- and would be wonderful for the vegan or non-vegan who just wants to get more raw food into their diet.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE THESE RECIPES!!! :)
I highly recommend this recipe book! I LOVE it! My boyfriend and I are new to the Raw Food lifestyle and this is one of the first recipe books I got.I must say that I am very impressed with the recipes that we tried so far.I was hoping for recipes that did not involve dehydrating or anything too involved seeing as we are newbies.We were not let down!This book is a perfect fit for us.We are slowly transitioning to Raw by incorporating raw foods a little at a time. Kristen Suzanne's Easy Raw Vegan Sides & Snacks is a great way to transition.We are impressed with how delicious the recipes have been.We are in love with the Creamy Breakfast Mousse!It is so refreshing. :-) This was the first raw recipe that my boyfriend tried and I believe it is what got him hooked!Two of our favorites are the Worldly Spiced Rice and the Flying Dragon Broccoli.We love the flavors! We double the recipe so we have leftovers. This past weekend I made the Fun Chocolate Applesauce for my little cousin and she kept going back for more!We are looking forward to trying all the dips.We made the Orange Sunset Salsa and loved it so much we made some more the same night! The best part about the sides and snacks is that they are easy to incorporate with our vegan-cooked meals as we are starting to eliminate more cooked foods. Another huge perk is that the ingredients are not hard to find!My boyfriend has been taking leftovers to work to share with all his work buddies to let them taste how delicious Raw Vegan food can be!I will be purchasing all of her books! Thanks Kristen!

5-0 out of 5 stars Extremely Good Value for Amazing Tasting Recipes
Just about everybody familiar with the raw food books available out there knows that Kristen Suzanne is especially famous for amazing, subtle flavors and wickedly cool combinations, tasting so good in fact that many people who've previously been disappointed by raw food (because so many raw recipes fall flat, taste like mush, or at best all taste the same) end up truly embracing the lifestyle after trying Ms. Suzanne's completely unique recipes. In short, if you haven't tried her books, you haven't begun to experience all that raw food has to offer.

I'm compelled to write in response to the reviewer who called this book a "pamphlet" (despite buying Ms. Suzanne's other books?)... this is baseless. They are short only in that they cover one type of dish or topic (desserts, entrees, smoothies, etc.), but they cover that topic more completely than any book that I've come across yet. I love the format. It really lets you dive in and explore, offers something for veterans but is also 100% accessible to beginners too. Which brings me to my next point...

Pamphlet lady said that the books repeat recipes. Let me clarify: Each of Ms. Suzanne's books (so far as I know) comes with a standard intro for beginners that includes six "basic" recipes that everybody exploring raw food should have (such as rejuvalac and nut milk). If you've read this in one book, you're just supposed to skip it in her subsequent books. This isn't rocket science; it's really helpful for beginners and is spelled out really clearly in the intro, and also on Ms. Suzanne's website, which includes a list of all of the recipes in all of her books (http://kristensraw.com/recipe_lists.php#sides).

Regarding the recipes, this book has a whopping 60 recipes, broken down as follows: the 6 basics (these are the ones repeated in all her books), 24 side dishes, 18 spreads, dips, and sauces, 6 snacks, and 6 breakfasts. Trust me, there's more great sides and snacks here than I've found anywhere, which again, is the nature of Ms. Suzanne's multi-book format... tons of recipes, you just choose the books you want.

This book is 80 pages and only costs twelve dollars. So for 60 recipes, it's a great value and calling it a pamphlet is just the empty gripe of somebody who's more into bells and whistles, and big books with lots of white space and airy quotes... than super amazing recipes you won't find anywhere else. This is one of my favorites of Kristen Suzanne, along with her soup and holidays books. I've found the types of "everyday" recipes are great for adding lots of raw into your life, whereas the entrees and desserts books are great for family meals or exposing new people to raw by taking dishes to parties, etc, that everyone asks about. (I haven't tried her hemp book but I just confirmed that the Whole Foods near me carries hemp products so I plan on getting that one next.)

Highly recommended. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars These are not snacks
This booked seemed like the book for me because I am always looking for healthy snacks to eat at work.They even have the calorie count for each item, but this book is not what I thought at all.The front cover is in color and it does have a nice spiral bound, but the inside is completely black (blue) and white.The only pictures are on the title pages for each section.I like pictures to entice me to want to make that recipe because it looks so good.The titles of these recipes did the opposite."Citrus Fennel and Garlic Olives," "Stuffed Polynesian Pears," "Boiled Grapefruit," "Fennel Brushed Grilled Oysters."These don't exactly scream "yummy" to me.If you are really adventurous and are looking for meal recipes instead of snacks, buy this book.I will be returning mine.

3-0 out of 5 stars These aren't Snacks
This book basically teaches you how to make miniature meals.I am a "grazer"; I love to munch on things throughout the day.I was hoping for a book that would tell me how to make low cal pita chips or super jazzy popcorn. It does not and I, for one, have no desire to create intricate mini meals...that completely defeats the point of snacking!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for a Crowd
Yeah they have lots of 100 calorie snacks, if you eat 1 or 2 of the items in the book. Good recipies, I like a lot of them, but once you look at the size of the recipie, and then the serving size your like...why bother if your looking at it for diet purposes.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT cookbook for the snackers

Product Description

Revealed at last--secrets and surprises from ace detectives Chet Gecko and Natalie Attired's criminal casebook!

This nifty (and very handy) handbook features tips and techniques for detective work: how to shadow people, collect evidence, and conduct searches; photocopy-ready documents that every private eye needs--license, search warrants, forged sick-day notes from parents; a list of suspects and pointers on how to ID the crooks; a guide to detective lingo for all you shamuses; and tasty recipes for distinctively Chet Gecko-ish snacks, including Tick Tacos and Sweet Potato-Bug Pie (minus the bugs, of course).

It doesn't take a private eye to see that this book is F-U-N.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome for imaginative readers
My twins love to read but they like books that are more make believe than stories about real people. This is perfect and a welcome addition to all the regular Chet Gecko books. The way it's written is fun... and the recipes afre real with funny titles. Not a lot of recipes but the book is very unique and enjoyable, page after page.

5-0 out of 5 stars great detective handbook (a review by Eli 7 years old)
This is a great and funny book.Even the recipes are pretty funny.Not only that this book is funny but it is also good at teaching kids how to be a Private Eye (PI). Another great thing about this book is that three authors worked together on it, which makes it very interesting.The recipes are great as well.The funniest thing about this book is when the bird and Chet Gecko write what they are saying. This is one of the funniest books I have ever read.

5-0 out of 5 stars Chet's cooking up reading
Chet Gecko, not to be confused with GEICO, solves mysteries with wit and punditry, and cooks up great stories as well. This collection includes several recipes sure to please even the most reptilian tastes, and entice kids (esp. boys) into reading more of the series. Once you read Chet Gecko, you can never listen to Garrison Keillors Adventures of Guy Noir without laughing out loud and thinking of Chet transported out of his lovely lizard body and into Mr. Noir's world. If the Sweet Potato Queens turned into geckos and wrote a book for kids, this would be the result. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Great Country Inns of America Cookbook
I first saw this book in the library, enjoyed it and thought it would be a great gift for a gormand friend. I liked the book and the recipies so much I purchased an additional copy for myself...

4-0 out of 5 stars Explore delicious comfort food!
The high point of this book is absolutely the flavor. The tomato pie is a sheer delight, although it was rather messy to serve when fresh (it had a tendency to fall apart). The peach cobbler certainly highlighted the best of that summer fruit. The zucchini breakfast meal is surprisingly flavorful given the short list of simple ingredients. All in all, flavor and appearance are the shining best aspects of Great Country Inns. You'll be proud to serve these recipes to your own guests, and there's no need to tell them how simple most of these recipes are---let them think you slaved over a hot stove!

Normally a lack of photos doesn't bother me, although it's a tad unusual in a book that's all about food oriented towards guests, special occasions, and so on; I don't think they're needed here in most cases because the recipes are pretty simple, but some readers might prefer them.

I did find some of the directions a bit ambiguous. For example, there's a casserole that involves "blending" a mixture of eggs and dairy with chopped & cooked potato, then baking. There's no indication whether blending means stirring or actual blending with a mixer, which would result in a very different texture and result. We decided to go with stirring and the result came out well, so I'll assume that's what the recipe meant. These ambiguities seem relatively few, however, so I wouldn't worry too much about them.

My only other negative is, like the photos, very reader- and occasion-dependent. Like most restaurant food, these recipes tend to use huge amounts of butter to improve flavor. The peach cobbler leftovers had a puddle of congealed butter in them after refrigeration---the recipe used so much that some of it separated back out again. This isn't a problem if you aren't concerned about healthy eating or bring out this cookbook only on special occasions, but I thought it deserved a mention in case it's a concern for you.

Overall this is a wonderful cookbook, well worth exploring in your kitchen. The vast range of recipes is impressive and delicious, and surprisingly easy to make.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cookbook Packed with Great Recipes!
I purchased the softcover version at Costco a few weeks ago for around six dollars- money well spent! Each recipe is accompanied by a photo and nutrition information is listed at the bottom of the page. The recipes are easy to follow. Many have substitution information, since some items are unusual or difficult to find.

The book is divided into sections by course- soups, appetizers, shellfish, fish, poultry, meat, veg. main dishes, rice-noodles-lentils, veg. side dishes, salads, relishes-chutneys, breads, desserts-drinks. The photos are attractive, recipes are widely varied and appealing, and the nutrition information is a major plus.

I have no complaints at all about this book- it inspires me to learn to cook new foods and to try new techniques, and experiment with unfamiliar ingredients.

(Mexico, South America & Caribbean cookbook from this series also purchased. It is also a terrific find.)

***NOTE ***
Some of the dessert recipes are far to sweet for me. I have been experimenting with using less sugar, sometimes as little as half. The result is a much more palatable end product. ... Read more

This cookbook is full of very cute ideas for children's snacks. Many would be great for birthday/holiday parties. However, I wouldn't say that all the recipes are kid friendly, as some require many ingredients and detailed assembly.

2-0 out of 5 stars Annoyed...
I am waiting on a call from the founder to see if she can fix this problem for me, but I wanted to write this review to let others know about a problem in the book. The recipes in this book are cute and certainly appeal to my child; however, about 1/3 of the recipes call for watching a "cooking school secret" video in order to learn how to replicate the photos in the book. The link in the cookbook is not valid, so we can't watch these helpful cooking secrets. To be fair, most adults can prepare the recipes without the video tutorial, but my daughter wanted to cook something for Thanksgiving all by herself. She would have benefitted from the video and was deeply disappointed that she couldn't watch it. I don't understand why they needed to post a website to show these videos instead of just putting the info in the cookbook.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally a kids cookbook that I can use
I've been going to the library and getting all kinds of children's cookbooks to test before I buy, because I have four little "helpers" that always want to be in the kitchen.This is the first book I've come accross with great pictures AND great, unique, yet kid-friendly recipes.For example, there are mini bagel balls, which were great and very hands-on for the kids (although the recipe calls for putting the balls in very hot tap water, I did put them in boiling water)--very tasty.Today we made the granola bars, and they're some of the best homemade granola bars I've ever had.There's also a Thai noodle recipe that we'll make next, and many others.I highly recommend this book. ... Product Description
DESCRIPTION Zero Oil Soups, Salads and Snacks is the second in the series of Zero Oil cookbooks that we have released, the first being Zero Oil Rotis and Subzis . When you think of soups, salads and snacks, only snacks seem to be unhealthy. Au contraire, most soups and salads can also end up unhealthy if wrong ingredients and traditional fat-laden recipes are used. Nothing to worry though, because the truth is that almost any dish can be made in a healthy and low-calorie form by selecting nutritious ingredients and tweaking the cooking method and proportion of ingredients slightly. Unaware of this, most people resort to fat free diets in their quest for the ideal figure ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Microwave Mug Cakes Recipes
It works.The only thing I have to work on I think is the high altitude or something.Mine turned a little heavy. More like a pound cake.Which wasn't bad.I made a carrot cake for my first and it was really good.What a great book!!Its fun.I bought two so I can give one to my sister.I'm planning on giving it to her on her birthday this month. She is raising her granddaughters and that will be fun for them.Yes it is well worth the price and kids will be able to do this easy and not get burnt or in much trouble.Of course you have to watch them and not let them take it out of the micro too early or they will get burnt.So watch that ok.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yummy & Easy Receipes
I ordered this after hearing about the author on the Rachel Ray show. The receipes are yummy, easy to make, and even easier to enjoy. Not only are the receipes easy but the author's sense of humor in presenting them is quite enjoyable. Well worth adding to your cook book collection!

5-0 out of 5 stars Mug Cakes
I can't wait to make some of these mug cakes when my grandchildren come for a visit! They sound so delicious and yet easy to make. It will be so much fun for my granddaughters to make and my grandsons to "help" eat.(the grandsons are younger and I haven't been brave enough to let them do much in the kitchen yet.)The directions are so easy to understand, I'm sure we will just have a very fun time making the Mug Cakes.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible tasting
I got this book as a gift and thought it was a cute idea, but the recipes in this book are horrible tasting! My kids would not eat them. The cakes turn into little bricks if allowed to cool. If you eat them warm they taste ok, but have horrible texture.You are better off with a box mix, making cupcakes, and sticking them in the freezer. Then just eat one when you want it. ... Read more
