Great beginner video!
This is a great video tutorial if you're wanting to learn Pro Tools. Easy-to-follow DVD instructions will help students navigate the somewhat challenging geography of PT from doing the set up to using plug-ins. My students can learn at their own pace and I have a resource for years to come.

The place to start...
I find the technical part of being an independent musician very intimidating--cables, recording, etc.For me, this video was great because it covered the basics of audio recording in a systematic, logical and comprehensible way, then took me through the basics of ProTools and into intermediate recording & editing strategies.What I want now is some detailed coverage of advanced mixing and editing tricks, though; I expect that they'll put this out in the next volume. After viewing this a couple times, I felt really comfortable with the Pro Tools interface.They repeat the shortcuts a lot, so that is good, too. ... Read more
