This is not worth the money
I wouldn't buy this panflet that is what it is. I would buy a real book. It was so generic that I am suprized any one would publish it.

A thin book with not much to say
Wilson Learning Corp.'s book about Swedish customs and culture is a start in the right direction, but unfortunately it is only a start.There are several good points brought up which may help the non-Swede avoid making a serious fool of himself or herself at a business luncheon, but that's about all there is.It's not really a book -- just a very thin pamphlet -- and it brings up only about a dozen points total, most of which anyone going to Sweden will already know.All of its points are related to business and business people, with nothing of interest for average people, tourists, motorists, hikers, or job-seekers, and nothing for people who simply want to meet and understand Swedes as people and friends. Sorry, it's not worth buying.

Practical Protocol, Advice, and a Reasonable Price
Of all the "cross-cultural" business books I've seen, none of them distill the information I really need to know about a culture into about 10 readable pages, as this "Wonderworks" booklet does. Youcan easily read it while waiting for your flight and review it before youland.

The information stays fresh because 1) it's concise and 2) it'srelevant. You will actually USE this information in a business meeting, orin any social gathering. And it's obvious that the information is groundedin up-to-date research.

Particularly useful is a graph that shows whichcultures are more "task-directed," like mine, and more"people-directed," like Sweden's. This knowledge has saved mefrom getting down to business too abruptly and jeopardizing crucialrelationships. Then the booklet covers the specific protocols you will needto know in most any given situation.

One last thing.I've beenfrustrated with other books on cross-culture relationships that seem to adda lot of filler, so they can be sold as expensive books.This"Wonderworks" booklet gives you exactly what you need for asuccessful meeting and offers an appropriate price. ... Read more

The total level of imports and exports on a worldwide basis, and those for Sweden in particular, is estimated using a model which aggregates across over 150 key country markets and projects these to the current year. From there, each country represents a percent of the world market. This market is served from a number of competitive countries of origin. Based on both demand- and supply-side dynamics, market shares by country of origin are then calculated across each country market destination. These shares lead to a volume of import and export values for each country and are aggregated to regional and world totals. In doing so, we are able to obtain maximum likelihood estimates of both the value of each market and the share that Sweden is likely to receive this year. From these figures, rankings are calculated to allow managers to prioritize Sweden compared to other major country markets. Excerpt: The Ertebølle culture (ca 5300 BC-3950 BC) (Danish pronunciation: ) is the name of a hunter-gatherer and fisher, pottery-making culture dating to the end of the Mesolithic period. The culture was concentrated in Southern Scandinavia, but genetically linked to strongly related cultures in Northern Germany and the Northern Netherlands. It is named after the type site, a location in the small village of Ertebølle on Limfjorden in Danish Jutland. In the 1890s, the National Museum of Denmark excavated heaps of oyster shells there, mixed with mussels, snails, bones and bone, antler and flint artifacts, which were evaluated as kitchen middens (Danish køkkenmødding), or refuse dumps. Accordingly the culture is less commonly named the Kitchen Midden. As it is approximately identical to the Ellerbek culture of Schleswig-Holstein, the combined name, Ertebølle-Ellerbek is often used. The Ellerbek culture (German Ellerbek Kultur) is named after a type site in Ellerbek, a community on the edge of Kiel, Germany. In the 1960s and 1970s another closely related culture was found in the (now dry) Noordoostpolder in the Netherlands, near the village Swifterbant and the former island of Urk. Named the Swifterbant culture (5300 - 3400 BC) they show a transition from hunter-gatherer to both animal husbandry, primarily cows and pigs, and cultivation of barley and emmer wheat. During the formative stages contact with nearby Linear Pottery culture settlements in Limburg has been detected. Like the Ertebølle culture, they lived near open water, in this case creeks, riverdunes and bogs along post-glacial banks of the Overijsselse Vecht.
