Extractions: : Art Characteristics The Art Department offers majors in Studio Art, Art Education, and a concentration in Graphic Arts. We offer the best of two worlds, a curriculum that is flexible and constantly updated and facilities which are housed within an historic setting. We take pride in guiding our majors in becoming artists who are competitive and prepared for employment as teachers, graphic artists, free-lance artists, as well as for graduate school. Students are eligible for numerous scholarships as well as internships for upper level classmates. Lab assistantships and work study programs are also available. Because the department is small, the two full-time professors function as mentors to each student and work with students one-on-one. Limestone College also holds the highly regarded Burde Monroe collection of African art that is periodically loaned to galleries and museums.
