Extractions: Expanded Nutrition Program "Better Diets for Better Health" For over 32 years, Tarrant County Extension's federally funded Expanded Nutrition Program/ENP (known nationally as the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program or EFNEP) has been providing basic nutrition education and life skills education to low-income youth and families with young children living in inner-city Fort Worth. Our unit has 2 Family and Consumer Sciences agents and 5 Paraprofessional nutrition educators who teach in the following inner-city Fort Worth neighborhoods. ENP adult or youth class groups meet in clinics, food banks, schools, adult education and training sites, neighborhood community centers, adult and juvenile correctional facilities, residential and outpatient drug treatment sites, low income housing communities and apartment complexes, Head Start and day care sites and at afterschool programs.
