I have read several books since I just lost my son a few months ago, I was very disappointed in this book, for several reasons, it gives no hope or inspiration, it is very depressing, parents that lose a child, especially their only child, do not believe "misery loves company", if you are searching for any kind of peace, hope and inspiration, this book is not the one to read.

Not a book to cheer you up but....
It's a read to help you find a roadmap of your own.I found that taking 9 different viewpoints was extremely validating.I lost my oldest son, Seth, a little over a year ago, and I've began and never finished numerous books.This one finally came through with insight that only those who have walked in our shoes can.It's not a fast read, but it's a great one.

This book has been very helpful in coping with the loss of my 21-year-old son in February 2009.It pinpoints the emotions that are so hard to describe to the outside world and acknowledges the normalcy of the sometimes bizarre thoughts that run through your mind.I commend these mothers for their strength and openness in contributing to this book, and for their compassion for those who unexpectedly find themselves enduring the same painful process.Well done! ...
