    4-0 out of 5 stars XF:Trust no1
The guide was very usefull in laying out the 3rd season as the XF hit its stride.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great X-Files book to accompany your X-Files Collection!
Trust No One is a complex book that provides insight to any reader about one of the best shows, if not THE best, on television, The X-Files. This book is adorned with many facts and pictures that reveal an enormous amount of behind-the-scenes information that is helpful to a serious fan. I have gathered from it many details that I have put into my own episode guide. I highly recommend this if you are a die-hard X-Phile. Enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars The book was interesting to read but the pictures were dull.
The book was great to read and the third season of X-Files was exciting. However, the pictures were stupid and all shouldhave been in color.Whoever had the idea of printing those pictures in a dark black and white should think again.Next time when they begin making the 5th season guide book they should print nice, clear, bright pictures along with the episode synopsises.

4-0 out of 5 stars This was a pretty good book
Since i am blind, i had my sister read it to me. i thought it to be pretty intresting and my sister described the pictures to me and i thought they were cool. i can't wait for the next season book to come out.

2-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing
I really enjoyed the first book, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE, which covered the first two seasons of the X-Files.But this book only covers one season and the authors Lowry and Stegall want you to dish out another $15.Even the color photos have been seen a gillion times before in other magazines.Don't waste your money on such a blatant attempt by Rupert Murdoch'spublishing company to milk this cow for all its worth. I usually enjoy Sarah Stegall's online reviews, but I can't believe she would be involved in such crass commercialism as this book.Shame on her, shame on the publisher, and shame on me for buying this crap ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A slick little book for the X Files completists out there
The X Files Fight the Future Scrapbook is an item for those fans out there who just have to have anything and everything related to The X Files. It features a very basic summary of The X Files: Fight the Future motion picture which can be read in just a few minutes by young and old alike. The only things it really has going for it are its overall slick look and style, its collection of many impressive color photographs from the movie itself, and its relatively low price. There is nothing here that is not taken directly from the movie, so only the most loyal and obsessed X Files fans really have any reason to go out of their way to add this scrapbook to their coveted X Files collections. It's an impressive little scrapbook, but its importance is negligible at best.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice Pictures!!!
I bought the book and I gave it the 3 stars because every page has photos from the movie and for its budget price. The story is narrated so that a young child can read it too. More a collectors piece than for a good read!

2-0 out of 5 stars at least you're not paying alot for what is basically nothin
this is basically a picturebook with scenes from the movie - you won't see any pictures you didn't see in the movie.a short paragraph is included for each page, which reads like a book you would read to a 4 yr old atbedtime.the 2 stars are for 1) the photos, and2) the low price

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
I ordered this when I saw it, and I think it's a really great book. Really great pictures, I have two copies. It's also a really good price. I love it, Fight the Future is the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect novel companion
This book is the perfect companion to the feature film novel. It is short, but filled with beautiful pictures. If you loved the movie and novel, you'll love this book, too! ... Read more

Written in perfectly deadpan, Mulderish style, Chris Carter'sX-Files: Fight the Future movie novelization (adapted by notedSF author Elizabeth Hand) is a faithful reproduction of the film, withthe addition of a couple of cutting-room-floor sequences to make itworth an X-phile's while. X-Files neophytes will probably beconfused by the appearance of unexplained characters and in-jokes, butthe story is like a really good episode of the show, and if you can behooked, you will be. A few purely visual things don't translate wellin the novelization. For instance, dialogue between theCigarette-Smoking Man and the Well-Manicured Man, both referred to bytheir complete "titles" throughout, becomes an exercise inridiculousness. But that could hardly have been helped, and otherwisethe book accurately adapts the action and fast pace of the movie. Anice color-photo spread completes the package. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars From the days when the show was great
Just watched this one again since I am intending on viewing the newer X Files movie on DVD this evening.Well, for anyone who ever wanted to get caught up on and with the X Files, Fight the Future is really a great flick.I think they did a great job getting this to the big screen. The acting was typical X Files so for the fan, you would not be dissappointed and for the newby you would really understand the characters being in character.

Additionally, this flick takes you all around the world, you basically visit four continents, Africa, Europe, North America and the South Pole.Great FX support a great story line.Of course, you wonder what conspiracy theories and theorists Chris Carter, the creator of XFiles, reads or is aware of.But, really, thinking that ETs are coming to take over earth and there are men who are working with them to minimize any damage to the human race.Who is this cabal of men, secretive from all over the world?

The extras in this DVD are also excellent. You really get a sense of Mulder sliding down the insides of the alien ship and actually, the stunt itself was really amazing. I look forward to the next installment of XFiles.

5-0 out of 5 stars A faithful adaptation featuring a little extra information
This is an excellent adaptation of the feature film The X-Files: Fight the Future.Elizabeth Hand took Chris Carter's script and transferred it to book form in the most faithful way possible. If you've seen the movie (and I would certainly recommend seeing the movie before reading this adaptation of it), you will "see" the entire movie in your mind as you read along. The dialogue is word for word, the descriptions are an exact match to the scenes in the movie, and you will not find anything from the movie that is not translated onto these pages.Strangely enough, the book feels more rushed than the movie did, and the written word doesn't convey as strong a visual image of the film's culminating action in Antarctica, but I think this is clearly due to the fact that this book was borne of the movie and not vice versa.

Lest you think there is no reason to read this adaptation of the movie, I should point out that there is a tiny bit of material here that you will not see in the film itself. This extra material concerns the fate of Mulder's little sister Samantha, and I can't imagine why such an important exchange between Mulder and the Well-Manicured Man was left out of the film. This is information that goes to the very root of Mulder's obsessive commitment to uncovering "the truth."

The initial hardback release features several pages of excellent color stills from the film, which make quite a nice addition to an important and very readable novel.Even if you've seen the film so many times you have all the lines memorized, this is a book every X-Files fan really should read and own.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book, but weak movie
The book by itself is well written and it is almost the screenplay for the movie. The greatest problem in my opinion is the movie, which was more a long X-Files chapter than an exciting movie, which all X-Files fan would expect.

4-0 out of 5 stars This book is good, it helps you understand the movie better
I was all in all quite impressed with this book. It explained everything quite well, and sometimes during the movie they were talking too fast, so it was nice to see the script written. The only dissapointment was that it did not really give much insight on the character's thoughts and feelingsthroughout the story.I was hoping it would, since the movie did not.ButI do recommend the book still, hey, I actually enjoyed doing a book reportfor once in my life!

4-0 out of 5 stars X-Files Fight The Future
The X-Files novel, Fight the Future, is a great book if you like the X-Files in general.Fight the Future goes into more detail into thegovernment's conspiracy of denying the existence of aliens.Mulder andScully are two FBI agents who are trying to make these men keeping thierexistence a secret "famous", which mean to expose them.Mulder'ssister, Samantha Mulder, was abducted by aliens, he believes, long ago. The search for Samantha is what spurs Mulder on.Scully joined Mulder onthe X-Files, but she was assigned to him to keep an eye on him and tell theconspirators what he was up to.Scully broke her truth with these men andbecame loyal to Mulder.Fight the Future begins with a bomb explosiondestorying a building. This building was destoryed to cover up bodieswhich were infected with an alien virus.Mulder and Scully find the bomb, but the man who was to disarm it ordered an evacuation and let the bomb gooff to cover up the bodies.Mulder and Scully are blamed for the bomb andare ordered to be split up.Mulder gets advice from a man whom thegovernment is trying to find and kill to shut him up, and he finds out whythe building was destroyed.Mulder and Scully then venture out on clues toa huge tent-like building filled with bees.Scully gets stung by one ofthese bees, and Mulder calls a hospital. The conspirators have interceptedhis call and they go and take Scully, who is spasiming.Mulder is grazedby a bullet from a gun in the hands of the fake hospital men. When Mulderwakes up he gets help from one of the conspirators, who later killshimself.Mulder never thought that he would get help from one of theoriginal conspirators. He has the vaccine to the virus Scully has and thecoordinates to her location.Mulder comes to the coordinates and fallsinto an alien shuttle.Mulder searches through many human infected corpsesuntill he comes to Scully. He gets her and gives her the vaccine andescapes while the space shuttle leaves. When Mulder and Scully try to tellothers about thier adventure they are laughed at as usual, but the X-Fileswere reopened. The investigations will continue, but it was said that oneman alone cannot fight the future. ... Product Description
Hodgson and Carter present a volume that contributes to the ongoing debate in Knowledge Management. They develop themes explored in Roy Jacques' influential text, Manufacturing the Employee. The volume hosts an array of eminent scholars in the field; as a starting point they consider the status of contemporary management knowledge. They do this from a range of theoretical positions that draw key implications for both research and teaching. The collection explores, and at times takes issue with, the increasing influence of post-structuralist thought on our understanding of the nature of management knowledge. The various chapters consider the nature of management knowledge from perspectives as diverse as management history, discourse analysis, gender, post-structuralism, social construction, neo-institutionalism, and critical realism. ...
