This report is meant to counteract the massive propaganda on your television where over half the commercials are for one drug or another, some bogus diet plan, or an anti-cholesterol product that will give you the very disease you are trying to avoid. based on a lie, the only people that get candida are those with extreme wasting disease

Good Resource
Found very helpful when my doctor suggested I cut out refined sugars, vinegars and simple carbohydrates in order to help recover from a yeast allergy. While I have not stayed as strict as The Yeast Connection diet suggests, it really helped the first month I needed to cut back.

surprisingly useless
I was hoping to find recipes to help me get through what promises to be a challenging period of no refined sugar or carbohydrates, and very limited amounts of foods with natural sugars and carbs. However, I haven't used this book AT ALL because every recipe I read includes fruits and, in some cases, honey or other sweeteners. It was a waste of money and is collecting dust...

Very Informative
This book has helped answer a lot of questions about yeast allergy.And is helpful in knowing what to eat when it hits.I have had this yeast allergy for 30 yrs. and it comes and goes.This time was by far the worst that it has ever been.

I have begun my journey with Candida Related Complex. This was the first book I purchased and I found that the inforamtion gets "jumbled up" from time to time. One section may say it's OK to eat a certain food,another sais it's not, and often it neglets to mention which foods are not to be eaten in the "elimination phase"... Recepies are alright, but many are not for the the elimination phase... Much of the ingredients are rather expensive and not always easily found locally (or only in healthfood stores). Overall,I found it to be a decent guide, but much more acurate information is needed on this condition. ... Read more

Hurt made his film debut as a troubled scientist in the science fiction feature Altered States (1980), for which he received a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year. He subsequently landed the leading role as a sleazy lawyer in the well-received film noir Body Heat (1981).

In 1985, Hurt garnered substantial critical acclaim and multiple acting awards, including an Academy and a BAFTA Award for Best Actor, for portraying a homosexual window dresser in Kiss of the Spider Woman. He went on to receive another two Academy Award nominations for his lead performance in Children of a Lesser God (1986) and Broadcast News (1987). Hurt remained an active stage actor throughout the 1980s, appearing in numerous Off-Broadway productions including Henry V, Fifth of July, Richard II, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. He also received his first Tony Award nomination in 1985 for the Broadway play Hurlyburly.

After playing a diversity of character roles in the following decade, Hurt earned his fourth Academy Award nomination for his supporting performance in David Cronenberg's crime thriller A History of Violence (2005).
