"Rumors" is included in Now That's What I Call Music! 18. The song was originally titled "Just What It Is." It was written by Lohan with Cory Rooney with TJ and Taryll Jackson. "Rumors" is the the autobiographical account of a pop star trying to escape the rumors that follow her everywhere she goes. The song was described by Rolling Stone as "a bass-heavy, angry club anthem."
