Dated but a Great Read
This is possibly the best book every written about the creation of a TV show. The author's wry wit adds to a very detailed description of how CBS messed with a 60s TV show for Jackie Cooper.The author doesn't hide his opinions and in the end exposes the lies told to him by Cooper, the network and just about everyone involved in television.What's sad is that television today hasn't changed its double-talking ways.A must for any student of the medium. ... Some people may like this book - But I aint one of em'!
First off, I don't even know why I read this book! I guess I was just bored out of my mind! This is probably the worst book I've ever read! I thought it was too bad that the four foxes died at the end, not because of the fact that foxes are my favorite animal, but because they were the only characters that had any dark side AT ALL, much less a personality!! Personaly, I thought that they were also the most likeable characters in the book. The "three sisters" were the oh-so-good-and-heroic-and-wonderfull showoffy chickens that starred in the book. They were mearly "blobs of niceness" and were just abnoxious and un'likable, the ring leader, Ranesome, being the worst of them all! This is the only book I've ever read that has truly ABNOXIOUS main characters! The only reason I gave this book even 2 stars is because I figure this book wasn't meant for my age group (I'm 14) and maybe some younger kids would like it. But if you're over ten (or have good taste in characters) do not read this book!

Not that good, but could have done better.
The Auther of the book is Dick King - Smith.The book is about three chickens who try to get revenge on Foxes because the Foxes keep eating the chickens on the Farm.The book cover is a real thriller , but its a real bore.

A roll-on-the-floor laughing read
Dick King-Smith is the prolific author of a host of delightful andhumorous children's books. His humour is reminiscent of Roald Dahl's sidesplitting childrens favorites.

"The Fox Busters" is anexcellent example of King-Smith's ability to entertain children as well asadults. Its wacky plot features chickens with special abilities who takerevenge on foxes in a most hilarious manner, and is sure to please readers.

Interesting Book About the Most Underrated Rivalry in College Athletics
I live in Arkansas, but I have watched The Holy War football games on CBSC or the Mountain because I liked the intensity of the rivalry.The book details esoteric information about the rivalry from the prospective of both universities.This book served as a springboard for me to research the LDS priesthood issue and the Black 14 at the University of Wyoming.

This book is an absolute necessity if you follow UTAH/BYU football.The rivalry is vividly painted with the book.It is almost an entire history of this tense rivalry.Rosetta and Miller are particularly good at taking the UTAH or BYU view in each chapter.The book synopsis is correct on the cover of the book--each chapter makes youlaugh and cry, disagree and agree, and protest and cheer (it all depends on which side you are on!).
