Great style or fabulous genetics?
I enjoyed this book, it's well-written and has lots of good pictures, but I'm still trying to figure out if Kate Moss really has as much style as admirers say, or if she just looks great in everything and admirers want to think she is stylish.A lot has been said about how well she puts things together.But I think I found as many outfits in this book that I did not think were stylish as I did those that were stylish.

She looks most stylish in the classics, like a yellow chiffon Marilyn Monroe-style dress or a black sweater with a black satin pencil skirt and T-strap sandals.But we all look better in the classics.When she takes chances like wearing skin-tight jeans, booties, and lots of layers on top, sometimes she looks fabulous and sometimes she looks like she tried and failed.But we'd all look fabulous part of the time and less so the rest if we had her looks.And even more so with the designer clothes she has access to.Unless we had no fashion sense at all.

She has almost perfect genetics.A beautiful face with wide-spaced eyes (but not too wide), a bow mouth, great jawline, and a figure that curves in and slopes out at all the right places and in the right proportions.And somehow she keeps the weight off so her figure makes any piece of clothing drape well.She could tie a garbage bag around her waist and she'd still look good even if her outfit didn't.One thing she does well is not over-accessorizing.She's pretty understated in the jewelry department and it suits her well besides adding class.She'll wear a diamond tennis necklace here and there or dangle earrings; just enough to set off her outfit, but not too much.She's a minimalist and brought in the minimalist movement after the 80s.So a minimalist with a closet full of designer clothes probably comes off pretty stylish.

So, it's a fun book if you are interested in Kate Moss.4 stars of fun.I'm just unconvinced as of yet about it's premise.

Great for Kate Moss Fashion
This is an awesome book with a detailed history of Kate Moss and her clothing style as it has evolved over the years.I just wish it had more and larger pictures of the clothes.

I was so pleased to hear about this book on Kate Moss coming out that I had to get it right away. She is one of the most fashionable women on the planet--if not THE most fashionable. perfect
Well what can i say? Kate Moss is by far my favourite supermodel of all time. Her beuaty and ability to change herself into someone else in every photo is amazing. Although some may say oh it's just photos , these photos are amazing and capture storylines and the early six years of her amazing career , a collaboration with photographers , stylist , make up artist etc. Kate Moss includes a witty introduction for the book ending it with a witty: p.s : i am just on my way out to dinner to eat a massive steak and loads of fattening potatoes , with loads of butter. What a brilliant ladies. The photos captured go from her early days to now - 1995. Theres also some baby pictures of Kate .. and from when she was 13 and stuff. Brilliant perfect and Kate Moss autographs it .. of course it is noly photocopied

FAN-tastic Book; Beware of Small Size
I originally bought "Kate" in the bookstore in its full-sized edition.I lost the book in a move, and bought a replacement online, only to discover that it was much smaller than the one I originally had.If you are looking for the full-sized version, make sure it is larger than the smaller one (smaller is 0.5 x 6.5 x 8.5 inches).

That aside, even with the smaller size (which is nice as well), this book is the ultimate for Kate Moss fans.Heck, it's a fantastic book for photography lovers all around.It contains pages upon pages of hundreds of photographs of Ms. Moss, most of which cannot be found anywhere else anymore.

Kate Moss is the most beautiful woman in the world, without a doubt.
There are some photographs in the book "Kate" that have been tampered with, as some of the images seek to embarass her, either way it is still a great book, she is beautiful and still is more and more gorgeous every "ad" campaign she is in to this day.
The Book is a photo book of Kate Moss, it also contains the "Obsession" campaign. I had to order this book but I used it everyday for a couple of years as I was doing a double Major in Graphic Design and Computer Graphic Design this book helped me to pass.

Kate is a fashion icon!:)
Despite what people may say about Kate Moss she is an amazing model and fashion icon her style is like no one else out there and her bad girl image is also here. she is a business woman at that she not only has her own clothing line for Top Shop by Kate Moss . She also has her own fragrance. She is comming out with her own makeup line as well:). I really like her alot she is an amazing model and I adore her style.:) You will love this book she talks about her relationships with rocker Pete Doraty and the Actor very cute Johnny Depp.:) It is a good book.

I read the book, it was very informative, I liked it.

Title should have been- Kate's Ex Boyfriend
This book should be called "Johnny Depp" because it is more about her relationship with him than about herself. I expected a biography on her life but it's about how this super-waif got famous and then those who made her famous turned against her. Then the rest of the book was about her unhappy relationship with Johnny Depp. I really like Kate Moss and would like to have read a book about her...not her ex-boyfriend.

so-so story of iconic model
my friends all just read this and we're all disappointed in it, maybe someone who knows less about kate moss would get more from it.it IS articulate and factual, and it's not that it's BAD writing, it just didn't give us anything new to talk about.i wish there were other biographies - even if totally sensationalized! - about kate moss out there!

my recommendation?maybe a good beach-time or bus-ride read, but don't expect anything revealing.

My friends and I just read this as part of our new "Fashion-Group Book Club"...I didn't dislike it as much as they did, but it does give one reason to marvel at how much completely unspectacular writing and recycled bollocks make it to publication.It even came to us recommended so I'm surprised at how just-not-good it is.Even the pictures, the best part, are all ones I swear I've seen a million times before.So, if you're looking for photos of Kate, I remember a book that came out on her in the nineties, a lot more expensive of course, but that one was excellent."Model of Imperfection": not recommended! ... I'm Sorry to read Kevin's review....
of the new Miss X Kate Moss book from Agent Provocateur, as I am a professional glamour photographer myself and a big fan of both Kate Moss and the avant garde Agent Provocateur Lingerie ad campaigns and website. But Agent Provocateur did premier the videos from these Kate Moss shoots on their website about a year ago, and i must agree they were horrible - poorly produced, filmed and edited with no real concept. A total waste of time and the use of the beauty and availability of Kate Moss. They did do a great marketing campaign / video with pop star Kylie Minogue previously, and now with Sports Illustrated supermodel Josie Huntington. Just dreadful...
I just purchased the 4 Dreams of Miss X about 4 hours ago, sight unseen as it was wrapped in plastic at a local Barnes and Nobles. I am an amateur photographer and had high hopes upon seeing Moss on the cover. I have never written a review and certainly never written a scathing one before but this book warrants it.
The book is primarily made up of shots of Kate Moss taken on what appears to be nighttime mode on a cam recorder (yes silver eyes and the like; and these shots seem to have been further marred by a rough hand in Photoshop). The DVD again shot in black and white nighttime mode contains Kate Moss rambling incoherently on a bed and walking through an ancient home.
The whole production is just dreadful. The photography, the "acting", the concept...everything just dreadful. The photographer had great material to work with and he not only fell flat on his face but dug a hole and drug an A-list model in with him. If you are wondering what rock bottom is for a photographer or a model, this book is it.
I'll be returning this tomorrow for a full refund and I will very politely ask that they not sale this book to anyone else.
