Homespun Remedies for just about everything
This earth-friendly little book stays within easy reach in my house.

I first found it, several years ago, when I was looking for a non-pharmaceutical way to get rid of fleas on a cat who wandered into my life. Found the answer (pages 82-85).

It doesn't have an index, so I had to browse to find what I was looking for. In the process I read about asthma relief, sleep deficit, potassium (to prevent leg cramps), and so on. Whether you read it cover to cover (as I finally did), or you simply browse, you can find simple, effective remedies for a number of complaints.

I have and love this book and I want to send a copy to everyone I care about.Maybe even a few people I don't care for, but have great respect for.However, the prices I'm seeing posted are beyond mysterious.Take a look at the price in the upper right-hand corner of the book.I'm looking at my copy right now.It says $2.79 in Canada.

For a kids book this is pretty heavy...
Where to begin.When I saw this book I wasn't sure what to expect, but having read it I can say that it is truly an amazing book.The book is written for children but the message is so profound that is warrants reading no matter what your age.The bibliography is one of the best I have ever seen.It is a fantastic resource for anyone who want to learn more about nonviolent movements.I also highly recommend Mark Kurlansky's book "Nonviolence: The History of a Dangerous Idea".Nonviolence: The History of a Dangerous Idea (Modern Library Chronicles) ...
