Product Description
Law of Attraction, Meet the Law of ActionThe Law of Attraction tells us that whatever we focus our attention on, consciously or not, we attract into our lives. Think happy thoughts, enjoy happy experiences. And vice versa. Begin with Yes introduces the Law of Action, a principle that reverses the order - and is equally powerful: What we do affects how we think, and the kinds of experiences we have. When we take small, manageable steps, we feel more positive and our lives flow more smoothly.Begin with Yes is all about setting things in motion and opening new doors. Getting unstuck. In this short, engaging conversation, counselor, coach, and motivational speaker Paul Boynton maps out a surprisingly easy, logical, and liberating alternate route to a better life. In short, not only does Begin with Yes make change seem possible, it provides concrete examples that show the way. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Progress and Achievement Begin with Yes
Begin with Yes: A short conversation that will change your life forever"Begin with YES" exemplifies how the key to contentment is commitment to progressing through several series of seemingly insignificant milestones in life that serve as incentives towards achieving ultimate goals.A great philosopher once said that a journey of a thousandmiles begins with a single step; take that step, "Begin with Yes" today.

5-0 out of 5 stars Daily Mantras to Move you Forward
This is a perfect book for busy people. It seems we are all overwhelmed daily with our to-do lists and have little time for introspection.BEGIN WITH YES is a gentle and loving conversation on how to take action, no matter where you are on the path in your life's journey.I felt like I was having a conversation with a dear friend. The stories and examples of how we can attract what we desire, in a realistic way, are practical and inspiring. We all get stuck and we all face challenges, loss, sadness, confusion in our lives.Paul makes us look at these challenges of being human and to realize they are part of the human condition. We are not alone. This wonderful small book reminds me of daily mantras that can be read at bedtime.Little prayers so to speak.I will re-read them nightly to remind me to BEGIN WITH YES.

5-0 out of 5 stars Light, easy, but ENCOURAGING read!
This book comes precisely at the right time and the right place in my life right now! (Talk about the Law of Attraction!) I love Paul Boynton's friendly, practical, easy-to-digest approach. As you read the book, it feels like a trusted friend is holding your hand, guiding you where you want to be, one baby step at a time. It inspires you to do something, no matter the situation - the Law of Action in motion! Thanks for putting it out there, Paul! We need MORE hopeful materials like this!

5-0 out of 5 stars Little Book, Big Inspiration
Many people in recent years have embraced the philosophy behind "The Secret," "The Law of Attraction," and the popular books by Eckhart Tolle and have started to become more conscious of their thoughts and how their thoughts create their reality.

What Paul Boynton does in "Begin With Yes" is gently instruct the reader on how to bring the Law of Attraction out of the mind and into action."The secret to a good life," writes the author, "is less about having a positive attitude and more about taking positive actions."

This is a small book, but one that has a big impact.Boynton has fashioned the book as a friendly conversation between author and reader, providing easy language and clear examples of how to take the first action steps.

"Begin With Yes" is designed to get us moving, and Boynton provides us with very simple ways of putting it all into motion.I really liked the personal stories Boynton uses throughout the book of friends and colleagues who have a "begin with yes" attitude, but I especially liked when Boynton talked about his own journey.

One passage that stands out for me is when Boynton and a friend are driving past a newly constructed home in the neighborhood, and Boynton says, "Look at that ugly house." As soon as he says it, the author realizes how negative he sounds, and he makes the shift to "Look at that house; it's not my style."This is not a major revelation, but that's Boynton's point: All we need to do to have a "Begin With Yes" attitude is to take one positive, life-affirming step at a time.

Boynton's book (with a beautiful cover design by Michael Wynne) will uplift and encourage you the next time you encounter a long line at the grocery store or an inattentive waiter at a restaurant. It has brought me much peace, and I trust it will do the same for you. The best time to start is now!

Product Description
This five-volume documentary collection—culled from an international archival search that turned up over 14,000 letters, speeches, pamphlets, essays, and newspaper editorials—reveals how black abolitionists represented the core of the antislavery movement. While the first two volumes consider black abolitionists in the British Isles and Canada (the home of some 60,000 black Americans on the eve of the Civil War), the remaining volumes examine the activities and opinions of black abolitionists in the United States from 1830 until the end of the Civil War. In particular, these volumes focus on their reactions to African colonization and the idea of gradual emancipation, the Fugitive Slave Law, and the promise brought by emancipation during the war. ...
