5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!Informative!Inspiring!
This book is an inspirational journey through beautiful black and white photographs and editorial with clear insight into the workout routine of one of the most beautiful male figures in our world today!

5-0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended exercise program!Very Intense!
And I thought the P90X program was intense! This blows P90X away! The program requires about 45 minutes of my time 5 days per week (weekends off to recover) and this is very reasonable, even while on business travel.Because everydone is done in "superset" fashion, it is recommended that you workout during a non-crowded time of the day.For me this is 6 am every morning. Overall I love the workout and the book is very detailed and educational, but this is not a program for beginners.... I purchased the book because I have hit a plateau in my workouts after following the same schedule for years.

4-0 out of 5 stars Supersets? No Excuses for not explaining this concept clearly.

I loved the design and the content of the book as well as the philosophy behind the book. The salient points from the book can be summed up as follows:

* Stresses on the benefits of SUPERSETS. This is the cornerstone of the book.

* Working out should be a lifestyle and not just a passing fad. We should workout throughout the year (and our lives) not for vanity's sake (and he's a model cum actor) but for health reasons.

* The workout plan presented is not rigid and can be tailored accordingly.

* He dispels the myth that cardio and weight/strength/resistance training should be performed separately. His suggested workout plan encompasses both aspects in a compact one hour session.

* Stresses that symmetry is important and should not be ignored. Most muscles have an equal and opposite muscle which should be worked too.

* Gives due credit to his trainer.

* Preaches the message of steroid/supplement free lifestyle.

This brings me to the point that super-setting is the cornerstone of this book yet it is not adequately explained.

For example, is Sabato's definition of super-setting:

1) I do lat-pulldown immediately followed by bench press done thrice in a row is 3 supersets?

2) I do lat-pulldown (3 sets) followed immediately by bench press (3 sets) is 3 supersets?

I have a gut feeling that it is option 1 but I am unsure. Even though the book is excellent but there are "No Excuses" for not defining the concept of supersets properly.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book if your serious about getting in shape
No Excuses takes a no holds barred approach to working out. As a previous reviewer has stated, the book is more suited for those already engaged in some form of training. The reason for this is Mr. Sabato believes in working out non-stop which equals a really tuff workout.

The book itself is very motivational and inspirational. Also, the book is filled with quality pictures showing you exactally how to do something. One of the things I noticed most is that Antonio doesn't use free weights alot, but instead prefers machines. What I got most out of Antonio's book is his training methodology and dedication.

No Excuses doesnt show you anything you most likely havne't seen before. However, the motivation factor and his mind-setsalone make it worth it. I would recommend it to anyone serious about training and want to fine tune there physique.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Workout
I have been following this workout for about a month now, and it is amazing. If anyone thinks that this isn't an effective workout, then they haven't tried it. I have tried many other workout regimens and this is truly the most intense. The results that anyone will enjoy come very quickly. If you are sick and tired of toying around with different workouts, get this book and the guesswork is over. It is the best way to build a body that is ready for anything that you are ready to throw at it. The nutritional advice also proves that you don't have to be a nutritionist to support a healthy body. Read it, try it, and you will understand. ... Read more

Excerpt: Zdenk Zeman (born March 12, 1947 in Prague) is a Czech-Italian football coach. He has managed numerous different teams, mostly in Italian football, over the years. Son of a medician and a housewife, Zeman grew up in Prague with a strong passion for sport, passed on by his uncle estmír Vycpálek, former Juventus player and then coach. In 1968 Zeman went to Palermo to visit his uncle, but exactly during that period his country was invaded by the USSR troops, so he decided to stay in Italy. He obtained Italian citizenship in 1975. His first coaching experiences were for amateur football teams from Palermo neighborhood (Cinisi, Bacigalupo, Carini, Misilmeri, Esacalza). In 1974, thanks to his uncle's aid, he begins his first notable experience, for the Palermo Calcio youth team, which ends in 1983. In 1975 he graduated with honours at the ISEF of Palermo (a sports school) with a dissertation about sports medicine. In 1979 he finally obtained the patentino (a kind of license for coaching football at the professional level) at the Coverciano's school for football coaches. His first opportunity as professional head coach came from Licata, a small-medium city in the province of Agrigento, where he won Serie C2 with a team mainly composed of youngsters. In 1986, he then left Licata in order to join Foggia Calcio of Serie C1, but he was sacked before the end of the championship. In 1987 he became coach for Parma of Serie B, but was fired after just seven matches. In 1988 he returned to Sicily as coach of Messina, classified at the 8th place for the end of the season, also thanks to the goals of Salv...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=2683515 ... Read more
