Excerpt: Robert Gerard Goulet (November 26, 1933 October 30, 2007) was an American Grammy- and Tony Award- winning entertainer. He rose to international stardom in 1960 as Lancelot in Lerner and Loewe's hit Broadway musical Camelot. His long career as a singer and actor encompassed theatre, radio, television and film. Goulet was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the only son of French Canadian parents Jeanette (née Gauthier) and Joseph Georges André Goulet, a laborer. Through his father he was a descendant of Zacharie Cloutier. Shortly after his father's death, 13-year-old Robert moved with his mother and sister Claire to Girouxville, Alberta, and he spent his formative years in Canada. Goulet's rise to fame started at the age of five when his aunts and uncles blackened his face with burnt cork and prompted him to do Al Jolson impressions. Though his performance was well-received by his relatives, the experience was deeply traumatic for the young Goulet, and left him with performance anxiety which plagued him for many years. Despite this stage fright, Goulet was encouraged by his parents to continue performing. After living in Girouxville, Alberta, for several years, they moved to the provincial capital of Edmonton to take advantage of the performance opportunities offered in the city. There, he attended the famous voice schools founded by Herbert G. Turner and Jean Letourneau, and later became a radio announcer for radio station CKUA. Upon graduating from Victoria Composite high school, Goulet received a scholarship to The Royal Conser...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=326309 ... Read more

Excerpt: Kelly Ryan (born July 10, 1972 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is a former International Federation of BodyBuilders professional fitness competitor. Kelly Ryan got an early start in her fitness career when, at age eight, she began to train in gymnastics. This would later serve as a foundation for other athletic activities she would become involved with in high school, such as cheerleading and basketball. After high school Kelly decided to pursue journalism at the University of South Carolina. While studying for her degree in journalism she also worked as a choreographer, which would prove very useful in her decision to become a top fitness athlete. Her first fitness competition was the NPC South Carolina State in 1995, where she placed first. She would eventually end up winning eight fitness competitions. Her background and presence in fitness contests have made her a familiar face at fitness expositions as well as in fitness magazines. Married to body builder, Craig Titus. Her 'Flyin Ryan' Routine at the Arnold Classic was mixed by David 'KrusH' Wilmore who also provided the voice over for the announcer in her 'Flyin Ryan' Intro. On December 14, 2005 the burnt corpse of Ryan and Titus' personal assistant Melissa James was discovered inside a Jaguar car belonging to Kelly Ryan. The couple went into hiding together and were arrested along with suspected accomplice, Anthony Gross, after a nine day investigation. The couple awaited trial in Nevada on charges in the murder of their live-in assistant, Melissa James. James was alleged to have had an affair with Titus. Titus and Ryan were tried separately in 2007-08. A prosecutor alleged in open court that T...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=7721513 ... Read more
