Dirty Dancer
Patrick Swayze was taken way too soon from this world.He had such a gentle soul and shared so many sides of himself with the world.This is a 'must read' book for everyone.

It is all about Patrick's life from high school and how much he wanted to dance dispite a serious injury to his knee. The story goes on to tell us about his life with Lisa. His tragic death and the way he handled himself was a real testimony of his faith.

This was a moving, behind-the-scenes look at Swayze's career and, also, about his love for his wife Lia.
Heard the CD version of THE TIME OF MY LIFE, written and read by both Patrick Swayze and Lia Niemi.

This was a moving, behind-the-scenes look at Swayze's career and, also, about his love for his wife Lia. It was also about what it's like to find out that you have pancreatic cancer.

I liked learning about his early upbringing, as well as his rise to fame with NORTH AND SOUTH that was followed by commercial success with DIRTY DANCING AND GHOST . . . though not as big a hit, his story about how he had to prepare for TO WONG FOO THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, JULIE NEWMAR had me laughing out loud.

The book runs through his last effort, THE BEAST, a TV show that he somehow managed to complete despite his illness . . . I'm glad that it received good reviews.

This is one title that you'll want to listen to, as opposed to read, just to listen to Swayze's voice one more time.

love the book, always enjoy reading about someones life. I never knew all the movies that Patrick Swayze was in. He and his wife hung in together thru it all and that is so great!! Both very strong people!! He died so young but in reading the book, you learn he never gives up a fight when he wants to reach a goal.

As a huge Patrick Swayze fan, this book is awesome. I would recommend it to anyone as it gives insite into his life.

A Different Outlook
This book helped me to see a different side of Patrick Swayze.I was told by someone that they had met him and he was a snob.Quite contrary to what I just read, and I, like so many others, enjoyed watching him perform.Tender hearted, hard working and loved his parents and siblings dearly.He was so devoted to his wife.There were hard times, but he rose above them and continued on.This was a great read and I'm so glad I bought it.Highly recommend to anyone who likes Patrick Swayze!

He was a really great dancer and a nice person. He will be missed by all.

One Last Dance
This is a good book and I enjoyed it but it doesn't compare to the biography that he and his wife Lisa wrote "The Time of My Life.The two books together tells a great deal about his and Lisa's life together.HE WAS A PERSON NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN by any of us.

Do not waste your money
I could not figure out for many pages why I found this book so distasteful.Then I realized: I assumed this was a biography in which the person being written about had actually participated in the process! Instead this is nothing more than a fangirl book with interviews culled from a few lesser players in Swayze's life and a heavy reliance on past interviews and articles.This book is a huge disappoint with an excessive use of pop culture similes that are grossly out of place.Skip this book and buy the autobiography instead.If you are a Swayze fan, you have probably already read the information in this book. ... Quick shipping and brand new audio book! The story is awesome - read by Patrick and Lisa...I hung on every word they said - I laughed and cried. Patrick is and will be missed. And I wish the best for Lisa!

This CD package has got to be one of the smartest things anyone would ever do for not only does it enable ALL people, blind alike, to experience Swayze's and Niemi's fine book but it lends a most special flavour, considering the Authors themselves are the narrators, each relating their own stories.

It is a tender, loving, and most touching account of Patrick Swayze's and Lisa Niemi's life. It could also very clearly be the life of anyone else involved in the Arts, really. In short, 'The Time Of My Life' is definitely a 'Must Have' for everyone, in today's day and age. This CD box set's contents reminds us all that life, more often than not, comes with hard knocks but that hope is never far away when one has courage, true grit and determination. So many things unknown until reading
A compelling reading.So many things I had never known about Mr. Swayze were in this book.It was written from the heart and touched my heart.Well writtenand actually funny at times.I have not read a book that I truly enjoyed in a very long time.I had difficulty putting this book down, and wanted to keep reading when I was done.My hat is off to this wonderful man and his beautiful wife.May his memory live forever.

Patrick Swayze biography by Mitchell Krugel
This book is a must for any Patrick Swayze super fan.Krugel was obviously a big fan when he wrote it. Of course, the book was written long ago and Patrick has done a lot of movies since then. I am a member of his international fan club and have met him three times. He's a lovely man. I know a lot about his life in the last 10 years but not as much pre-1990. That's why I wanted the book and am glad I found it.
