Excerpt: After expressing an interest in reviving the Pink Floyd classic The Dark Side of the Moon following his performance with his former bandmates at Live 8 in 2005, Roger Waters announced that he would be staging "The Dark Side of the Moon Live", a worldwide concert tour. Waters and his band performed the title piece in its entirety at each show, beginning at the Rock in Rio festival on 2 June 2006. The tour featured elaborate stage design by Mark Fisher (the architect of Pink Floyd's The Wall shows), including giant puppets, large video screen displays and a 360° quadraphonic sound system. The performances were divided into two sets: the first being a collection of Pink Floyd material and songs from Roger's solo career, and the second The Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety, plus encores. Pink Floyd's iconic pig has been used extensively during the Dark Side of the Moon tour, introduced on September 6, 2006, the opening night of the US leg, and since appearing at almost every venue. During the tour, the pig has often carried messages critical of the American government, Waters' socialist views, and the support of repressed Latin American populations, including indictments of discrimination and calls for the further prosecution of former dictators. Excerpt: The Wall - Live in Berlin was a live concert performance of the Pink Floyd studio album, The Wall, held in Berlin, Germany, on 21 July 1990, to commemorate the fall of the wall eight months earlier. A live album of the concert was released in September 1990. A video of the concert was also commercially released. The concert was staged on vacant terrain between Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate, a location that was part of the former "no-man's land" of the Berlin Wall. The Wall was written by Waters when he was a member of Pink Floyd in 1979 with a tour following in 1980 and 1981. The show had a sell-out crowd of over 250,000 people, and right before the performance started the gates were opened which enabled another 100,000 people to watch. Fifty-two countries broadcast the two-hour event. The event was produced and cast by British impresario and producer Tony Hollingsworth. It was staged partly at Waters' expense. While he subsequently earned the money back from the sale of the CD and video releases of the album, the original plan was to donate all profits past his initial investment to the Memorial Fund for Disaster Relief, a UK charity founded by Leonard Cheshire. False advertising
The appearance of the ad lead me to believe that this was the music CD set.
It was a paperback book. I tried to stop the purchase hours later after the
email confirmation revealed it was a book, but Amazon was no help. I refused
the delivery, and sent it back to the supplier unopened (at my expense), but
was still refunded only a less than half of the purchase price ("re-stocking";
nonsense). I appealed to the supplier, but no response. Will never do business
with "bookrackrh".

Excellent Companion To The Seminal Brilliant Concept Album!
I've seen many, many guitar tab books in my time and few come close to being as consistently accurate as this one.The only negative that I can see for this book is the binding which because it isn't of the spiral variety makes it difficult to play along to as the pages don't stay open unless you press down very hard on the page to try to make it stay which in turn leads to the pages coming off the spine which is beginning to happen to my copy at the "Comfortably Numb" page which I'm currently trying to commit to memory.

Otherwise, this is an excellent guitar tab book which is very accurate and the font is of a good size making it easier to read and play along with the cd.I also like the fact that even the non-guitar parts are frequently transcribed for guitar where relevant and in some parts even the symphonic parts are transcribed although without the tab which is normal and fine but the music notation and the chords are shown so that you can still play along if you want or if you play another instrument in addition to the guitar you can still follow along like in "Goodbye Cruel World", "Nobody Home", and "Bring The Boys Back Home"; very thoughtful indeed and it shows that the publisher actually understands his consumer with regards musicians using a book like this one.The first few pages of glossy, colour with photos of the band and the handwritten lyrics of the songs is also a nice touch.

Overall, if you overlook the difficulty with the binding this is a very good guitar tab book and one of my personal favourites.

The music is well written and very understandable. The price was right and the book has helped my son learn the songs he loves from this album on piano. Our house is filled with the notes almost every day.
