Comprehensive
Much better than "The Acne Cure," which I also reviewed.Provides lots of information and different regimens for many different skin types.Surprisingly, though from the creators of Proactiv, the book provides recommendations for a number of products.Nearly everything in the book can be found here on Amazon or at Walmart or Target.

Good Book.
This is a good book, but it just overviews the normal 3 steps to fight acne...and gives lists of OTC products you can buy. If your acne isnt that bad then its worth it--but everything I tried from this book didnt work for me!! (It helped but didnt clear me up completely.) The ladies that wrote this book made Proactiv.

Stick to the facts!
This book is very interesting and contains a lot of helpful hints to combat acne. However, it also contains suggestions for women and teenagers as young as fifteen to go on sythentic hormones for hormonally triggered acne. Synthetic hormones play havoc on a woman's body, let alone on a young teenagers. They even go as far as saying that teenagers(as young as fifteen)can "welcome the opportunity to prevent pregnancy while helping treat their acne." I think that Drs. Rodan and Fields need to stick to acne care and keep their opinions of teenage birth control out of it. ... Read more

Slow delivery
It took a couple of weeks to get this. Book was in good shape when I received it, but delivery was too slow.

easy to learn, but with mistakes.
Helps you to know some of the visual studio, if you want to do a project, this book will not help. it has only an introduction for each part of the studio.

This book is big and full of rubbish. The examples are not useful and you have to read lots of pages to get a little bit of explanation which it could have been done with few lines. I would not recommended to anybody

This book gets to the point without speaking in another language so it's easy to understand. Even for the complete beginner or advanced user. It has great referrences and is easy to navigate. A must for your bookshelf.

Sharepoint for Administrators
Have to say I bought this book looking for Sharepoint for Developers which this book is not.

Having said that I have this book on my desk and I refer to it often. Parts of the book are really for the Sharepoint newbie and parts go deep into the product.

Extremely useful book for new SharePoint users
I am just entering the world of SharePoint, never having been asked to use it before.I found this book to be extremely useful.I don't know why anyone with 20 years of IT experience would buy a book entitled "SharePoint 2010 for Dummies".But as an actual "dummy", this book was great.It covers all of the basics of the SP user interface and feature set, including step by step instructions, and lots of great screen shots.Some of the later chapters related to enterprise search and BI weren't very useful to me, but I could see that they would be useful to the right audience.I had struggled with Microsoft's web site and video's, none of which told me what I wanted to know - which was "what is SharePoint", and "how do I use it?"This book covered both topics, and far more effectively than anything else I have found.

If you are a techie looking for architectural details, this isn't the book for you. If you are a Box user being asked to use SharePoint instead - this is the perfect intro.

Reference, not a guide.
I utilize this book for professional training workshops on SharePoint 2010. As of October 15th, 2010, this is the best reference for SharePoint 2010 that I've found. For SP2007/WSS 3.0, we used Microsoft's WSS 3.0 Step-by-Step guide, and will probably start using the 2010 version when it comes out next year.

This reference book is informative and adequate for a site-collection owner to maintain their SharePoint environment, but it is not a great introduction to SharePoint 2010.The main fault of this book is the order of the content, and the lack of in-depth content. For example, the explanation of the Ribbon is totally inadequate and spread through multiple chapters. In this book, Chapter 11 is the chapter on Navigation, compared to Microsoft's WSS 3.0 book where Navigation is immediately after the introduction. In my professional experience, navigation and the ribbon are the two most difficult barriers for the average end-user to overcome - if this book were a guide, those topics would be addressed first, but this is a reference book.

If you are tired of bothering your superiors and administrators with SharePoint questions, this book will help you.

This book is less useful for SharePoint designers and administrators, there are specialty guides on those particular topics.

Good New User Overview / Introduction to SharePoint
I am writing this review because this book deserves more than a "1 star" rating that another e-version reader provided.I have the hardcopy/print version which includes plenty of screen shots.The book is written for those unfamiliar with SharePoint. However, even as a 20+ year IT veteran, with extensive SharePoint experience, I found the book to be useful as both a refresher for features I haven't used very much and as a intro to "what's new" in 2010.

I give the book 4, rather than 5, stars simply due to its intro-level coverage of SharePoint features.This is NOT a book for troubleshooting issues.It IS a book for anyone new to the SharePoint platform who is looking for some basic "how to" information and for gaining a solid, easy to read, understanding of how and why to use most SharePoint 2010 features.

Images are too small to read
This is my first book review in Amazon and I am sad that my review point is just "One" star. It is becuase of the size of the image of the kindle e-book. This book is a IT book and images are really required to understand the descriptioin but the original size of the images are too small that I can get no information out of them. I also tried the book in my PC's kindle but it did not help much. PC kindle displays the image in color and sharper but still so small that I cannot recognize words on the images.
If you think the contents are good (I cannot tell about the contents yet because I have finished only a couple chapters), please buy a paper version, not a kindle version.
It seems that many ebooks has too small images in them but I do not understand how Amazon can think it would be OK for their valuable kindle customers to read. ... Read more

The Wake-Up Book
Reading this book woke me up. I was literally drained from traveling to take my children down south to visit grandys, and I also took them there to give me a moment to handle some {music} business. Reading the book was the very thing that I needed at the moment. What was encouraging was that I knew about these women. So to hear their story a little closer gave me insight and hope as I journey through the music industry. Khamilah Forbes, Abby Dobson, Fiona Bloom, and even the women Lenora who has had Landmark Education are all women I have some a distant connection with. That was very encouraging. It also made me see the music world as a much smaller entity and made me feel like my dreams are attainable. Well for the record I never thought they weren't attainable because I am living my dream. This is one stage. The book gives me guidance and skin for the next stage. It was also a wakeup call to get my entertainment business {dreams} in order.

One day, during my commute to work, I was so engrossed in Thembisa's book Put Your Dreams First: Handle Your [entertainment] Business that I missed my train stop and realized it 5 stations later!!! Besides being well written, what made HYEB so enthralling was that it addressed so many concerns I had in regards to my career and gave me insight on how to deal with those concerns. Also, I appreciated the individual stories of the women stemming from various fields with various experiences in the entertainment industry. Some of their stories moved me to tears because I could relate to certain obstacles they faced. More importantly, I was inspired by the strength of these women and how they overcame those obstacles to become power players in their respective fields. Although this book is geared toward women in the entertainment industry, I believe any woman in any industry with goals and a dream can learn a great deal from this book!
