And the Java Virtual Machine is going to run on Solaris thread. The Java Native Interface (JNI) I am going to code on needs to use Solaris thread accessing pthread library. Has anybody ever done this before? If so, how much confidence is for the code reliability. About half year ago, I did similar programming with Solaris native thread on a pthread string library thru JNI. The code runs fine on single cpu machine, but crashes on SMP.
