In addition to answering ads and using recruiters in your search, aim to conduct an intensive networking campaign that includes connecting with as many associations, trade and industry groups, alumni chapters and ethnic organizations as possible. It is not sufficient to network with just the people you already know. You must branch out and meet others in the industry who have valuable insights for you and your future career. But if you also identify yourself as Asian American, why not take advantage of some of the trade organizations out there specific to you? You shouldn't isolate yourself by networking only with other Asian American professionals; you should always be seeking fellowship and community outside of these Asian professional groups.
