It is part of the brazilian culture to offer all our goodies for you to tasteand there are some American favorites that we will let you discover for
http://www.rolfing.org.br/guide2.htm
Dear Student,
We are a friendly, hospitable, spontaneous and fun-loving people who like to make new friends with people from other countries. And while our culture is in some aspects similar to the American and European cultures, it is also very different.
We wrote this guide:
What "Insight Guides - Brazil" has to say about us:
"Since its settlement by the Portuguese in the 16th century, Brazil has held a constant fascination for foreigners. First it was gold, then rubber and coffee and more recently the exotic sights and sounds of the world's fifth largest nation. No less fascinated have been the Brazilians. Genuinely in love with their nation, the Brazilians, like the foreigners, have always been slightly dazed by the size of their country. The sensation is that hidden under the rug in some far corner may be an immense treasure just waiting to be discovered. The problem is knowing which corner and which rug.
Over the past 400 years, Brazilians and foreigners alike have been looking, and in the process, gradually filling in the enormous empty spaces of this continent-sized country. They have filled them in with some 170 million souls, composing one of the world's most heterogeneous populations. Brazilians are black, brown, white and yellow and all the shades in between. They live in modern splendor amidst sprawling cities and in squalid deprivation in rural backwaters. They work in high-tech industries preparing for the 21st century and they push wooden plows behind laboring beasts. Within the confines of the same Brazil live near-stone-age Indians, feudal peasants and lords, pioneers hacking out jungle settlements and yuppie princes and princesses.

Brazil ABSTRACT Recent trends in creativity research have pointed out that creativity is a sociocultural phenomenon. As a consequence, the effect of cultural factors on the manifestation of creativity has been discussed worldwide. The purpose of this chapter is, therefore, to analyze the development of creativity in the Brazilian culture. A brief description of the Brazilian culture is provided. Models of creativity developed by Brazilian researchers, as well as a review of creativity studies conducted in the educational and workplace environment, are presented. Guidelines for future cross-cultural studies on creativity are also suggested. INTRODUCTION This chapter examines the development of creativity in the Brazilian culture. The first section includes a brief description of the Brazilian culture, and the second section presents two models of creativity developed by Brazilian researchers. The third section reviews studies conducted in the educational environment and discusses their implications. The final section provides guidelines for future cross-cultural studies on creativity.
