The Geography of Waxing
by Kate Haug AN INTRODUCTION T
The bikini wax not only reveals the most intimate details, the most definitive tastes of the waxee, it bespeaks the subtext of a city.
I had my first wax at a very exclusive place with lots of subdued lighting and plush, thick towels. The full leg and bikini wax was performed by a young Irish woman who told me it would get better later on, and that some of her clients drank a bit of whisky and popped Ibuprofen. I endured the intense pain of having hair ripped from my shins, my upper leg, and my most tender of tender inner thigh. When it was done, I jumped from the table in an ecstasy never before experienced. I twirled around the streets like Mary Tyler Moore with the wind gently whipping up against my baby-smooth bottom. NEW YORK, NY
In the New York wax, the bikini line is clearly defined. The typical line is for a standard J. Crew bikini bottom; you are definitely removing the hair from the inner folds of the bikini area and possibly a bit from the pubic bone.
O The woman leads me behind the wall partition. I take my pants off and jump onto the table. I stare at the fluorescent lights on the ceiling which cast an ominous green glow down on the pink walls. I'm enjoying this saccharin, gothic glow when she starts laying into me with the wax. She is giddy with joy. My legs are really hairy and she proudly shows me the cloth strips. Holding them up to my face like a newborn baby to its mother, she says "See.... SEE."

Welcome to Explorer Tours, with us you are guaranteed to receive the best information and service ... The country History Vietnam , officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, country located on the eastern coast of the Indochinese Peninsula. Vietnam is bordered on the north by China, on the west by Laos and Cambodia, and on the south and east by the South China Sea. Hanoi is the capital, and Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) is the largest city. Vietnam Vietnam Natural Regions Rivers Coastline Vietnam's coastline extends 3,440 km (2,140 mi) from the Chinese border in the north to the frontier with Cambodia in the Gulf of Thailand. In some areas, such as east of the Central Highlands and north of the Red River Delta, the mountains extend directly into the sea. This creates a number of protected harbors suitable for shipping, including those of the port cities of Da Nang, Qui Nhon, and Nha Trang. The mountains also form a picturesque backdrop, and beaches at Da Nang and Nha Trang are among the most popular resort areas in the country. The remaining coastal areas are flatlands, created by the deposits of alluvial soils by rivers. Over time, this deposition process creates triangular, flat deltas, notably the Red and Mekong deltas.

The political maps may not be up-to-date, but they do have historical significance, and the instruction in map skills and world geography are just right for a junior-age child. Like most secular geography books, it does hold an old earth view, but if you can tolerate Usborne books or Hilyer, you should be able to live with this. It has great maps and humorous illustrations, and the text is interesting. At the back of the 145 pages of text you will find a Book of Lists; Map Facts; and an index. FACTS ABOUT CAMBODIA
The Kingdom of Cambodia is an independent country with a population of more than 7 million people. With a surface area of 181,035 sq. km and once a French colony, is the least known Indochinese country. Cambodia has a distinct geographical personality: it is a wide basin surrounded by highlands. In this basin the farmer has created a simple life - an original civilization and philosophy of mildness. After many years of war, people rediscovered the meaning of "PEACE" They started to rebuild and reconstruct in all fields. Cambodia is divided into 20 provinces and rich in resources, forests, rubber, gems, fish and has a big potential in tourism. FACTS ABOUT THE COUNTRY
Khmers have called their country Kampuchea (usually rendered Kambuja), since the l6th century. The name is derived from the word kambu-ja, meaning those born of Kambu (a figure of Indian mythology), which was first used to refer to the people of Cambodia in the 10th century. The Portuguese Cambodia and French Cambodge from which the English name Cambodia is derived, are adaptations of " Kampuja". It was the Khmer Rouge who insisted that the outside world use the name Kampuchea. Changing the country's official English name back to Cambodia (which has been used by the US State Department all along) was intended as a symbolic move to distance the present government in Phnom Penh from the bitter connotations of the name Kampuchea, which westerners and overseas Khmer alike associate with the murderous Khmer Rouge regime. As a result of the United Nations sponsored and enforced election in May, 1993, the Kingdom of Cambodia is now safe to travel and tourism has once again become possible. Indeed, the country and Phnom Penh in partucular is undergoing something of a renaissance. Often overshadowed by the traumatic events of its recent past, Cambodia as home of the Khmer culture remains one of the most important and exotic countries in South East Asia.
