All hardwares I had before are installed correctly and works, but the CD-Rom, which is a RW/DVD, is not recognized as a burning/dvd cd-rom. I was looking over the web and the manufacturer's website for the driver for this cd-rom, but I couldn't find one. Now I can't use my burner, cause it's not recognized as a burning rom to any software, and I also lost the "easy cd creator" that came along with this cd-rom. I have another cd-rom, but it is an old 16x rom, so i don't really care about it, but still, I'm frustrated with this stupid computer not working as i want it to be. All i can do with the cd-rw/dvd is just play dvd or games. I want to use this rom to burn cds and have the "easy cd creator" back.

The bad: Video outputs to PCs only; doesn't read 99-minute CDs; no control buttons on drive; doesn’t come with any blank media; middling read/write performance; no external battery pack option; expensive. The bottom line: Own an ultraportable notebook? This could be the ideal, if expensive, companion. For about the same size and weight as a normal USB CD-ROM drive, you get the works: DVD movies, MP3 audio, and CD-RW features. For a first-of-its-kind device, the MPD-A20U is an impressive debutante. With its glitzy looks and wide range of features, this S$599 (US$345) sophisticated machine will strike a chord with Sony-style fans or gadget geeks with very deep pockets. The company's new external drive is a battery-operated portable that not only reads CD, MP3, and DVD discs, but writes CDs too. It's probably the only such device available now. The MDP-AP20U also sports a Memory Stick slot to read audio and video files stored on the company's proprietary flash media. While many such attempts at integration often ended by the wayside, Sony manages to pull this one off rather nicely.
