The Writing Corner and Writing Across the Curriculum are Washington State projects that use small, inexpensive word processors to increase student achievement in writing. The Writing Corner is a consortium of 14 school districts, and Writing Across the Curriculum is a consortium of 29 districts. These grant projects are being supported by a combination of resources from the participating school districts and Puget Sound ESD, two Washington State Educational Technology Competitive grants, and generous support from Intelligent Peripheral Devices, NTS Computers, and Apple Computer.
