Sex Guide Dolphins: FAQ on Mating by Anonymous
Dolphins: FAQ on Mating
Heyo!
Firstly, introductions all round. My name is [removed to protect dolphinlovers], musician, pre-vet student and Delphinic Zoophile. People are often wondering just what the hell zoophilia is. Zoophilia is best described as a love of animals so intimate that the person (and the animal) involved have no objections to expressing their affection for each other in the sexual fashion. This is not to be confused with bestiality, where a person forcefully mates an animal, without their consent, and with no mutual feelings whatsoever. This is something that I would never do to a dolphin, since I love them dearly, and treat them with the same respect that an honest husband would have for his wife and children.
Dolphins are very intelligent, highly emotional and expressive creatures. They enjoy the company of humans, and if a relationship develops between a human and a dolphin, as has happened with me, they will, on occasion, wish to express their trust and affection for you in the most direct way; through mating, or sex-play. You see, dolphins do not use sex purely for procreative reasons. They use it as a way of strengthening the bonds between pod mates (mothers and calves included), and also for fun. Dolphins and humans share this common trait with very few other animals, so sometimes it makes me wonder when people continue to ask me "How DO you mate with a dolphin?". Easy. Let the dolphin tell you!
Well, here is a selection of questions people have asked me, so I hope this sheds some light on the subject...

Dolphin Sisters
"We have the same oceans in our veins,
are sisters to the trees and rocks and stars,
hold their identical minerals in our bones.
One family."
- Elsa Gidlow One of the absolutely best parts of swimming with dolphins is connecting with my dolphin sisters. As I have come to know the dolphins and the qualities in them I admire so much, I find these same characteristics in many of the women I meet who are connected to dolphins. These are qualities of love, trust, understanding, compassion, and gentle strength. I have many dolphin sisters who had not swum with dolphins when I first met them and others who still have not, even now. Most of my dolphin sisters are fully connected with dolphins on all levels, especially the physical. However, it makes no difference, because they all have the dolphin heart.

  • Dolphins
All dolphins are toothed whales belonging to the sub-order, odontocetes, of the order cetacea. As a group, dolphins are often referred to as "small" cetaceans, even though some of them are quite large, attaining lengths of over 20 feet. In addition, although the terms dolphins and porpoises are often used interchangeably, they really refer to two different types of animals.
  • Dolphins and Whales
Whales and Dolphins are marine animals. They live in oceans around the world. Whales and Dolphins come from the same family, CETACEA (sey-tay-sha) . They both breath from a blowhole located at the top of their head. Whales and dolpins are mammals.
  • What is a Dolphin? All dolphins, porpoises, and whales belong to the order Cetacea. They are often called cetaceans. Scientists group most dolphins (31 species) in the family Delphinidae, part of the suborder Odontoceti, or toothed whales. Delphinids include such well known dolphins as bottlenose dolphins and common dolphins as well as killer whales and pilot whales.
