Our specialty is disturbance ecology, focusing primarily on coastal wetland ecosystems. Research and Services Earth Ecology Institute's research and services branch was formed to fill a niche between state and federal research centers and laboratories, university research and big business consulting. We are a non-advocacy group dedicated to providing practical answers to today's ecological and environmental questions and problems. Education Earth Ecology Institute is dedicated to the education of people everywhere on the facts about natural resources and ecosystems. This goal is accomplished through classroom instruction as well as public contact at various events and festivals. Currently, we are formulating field courses in coastal ecology and Mississippi River deltaic processes. In the future, we hope to develop workshops on problems relative to the average person which will aide them in understanding earth processes that effect us all every day.

Quick News...
Protect Your Rights! New Information (3/6/03) I spoke to my lobbyist friend yesterday abotu HB 1151. His hands are tied from getting directly involved with this bill because if falls outside the scope of the Hunters Heritage Council that he is working for. He has been keeping an eye on this anyway, primarily because he hates the Animal Rights clowns so badly. He told me that what is needed more than anything else on this bill is an absolute avalanche of calls, letters, faxes, and emails from people that think this is stupid. Long elegant letters are pretty, but in his words they don't account for squat. He said there are plenty of Reps. opposed to this, and plenty of Reps. on the rules committee that are opposed to this. If they are given ammunition, they will stop it. So, we need to spread the word and have everyone we know who is sypmathetic to us contact EVERY member of the rules committee. I will be helping my dogs and kids type up their letters tonight.
