Teens of today are pressured by their peers to wear over priced clothing and footwear. To some, wearing high-priced clothes is a fad while to others it is fashion. Money is not object when I'm buying clothes that I like... Olivia Collier, a junior a West Philadelphia High, thinks that high priced clothes are just a fad. She feels clothing that has an unreasonable coast is a waste of money. "A lot of people out here are wearing this Tommy Hilfiger and DKNY and are not in the position to buy it. they are struggling financially, but they still buy these clothes because they do not want to be a fashion misfit." Olivia says she does not understand why someone would buy one shirt or one pair of jeans for fifty dollars each. Some teenagers who are in high school concur that over priced clothes will not stay in fashion long. Why would someone spend so much money on clothing? Teens and adult varied in their answers.
