Director of Citizen Schools University top of page Becca Moskowitz Curriculum Coordinator Becca Moskowitz is the Curriculum Coordinator for Citizen Schools University. In that position she creates, researches, evaluates, revises, and documents curricula for use by educators at Citizen Schools and other organizations. She also works with the Chief Training Officer to design and deliver training in high-quality instruction and program design. A graduate of Minnesota’s Carleton College, Becca has been with Citizen Schools since 1997. For over four years she worked with young people at a Boston campus; first as a Teaching Associate, then a Teaching Fellow, and more recently a Co-Director. She has taught five Apprenticeships, covering such diverse topics as historical drama and public policy making. She also currently serves as a Regional Specialist for the Center for Civic Education’s middle school program Project Citizen. top of page Charlie Schlegel Director of Research and Evaluation Charlie Schlegel, the Director of Research and Evaluation, manages the organization’s overall efforts to measure the program’s impact on both youth and adult participants for continuous improvement purposes as well as our efforts to demonstrate the value of out-of-school time in effecting students’ in-school performance. Citizen Schools measures of impact and evaluation include tools used internally to both assess students’ academic and social development and provide guidance and feedback for the training and development of our staff. Charlie is also responsible for managing Citizen Schools work with an external evaluator, assessing the long-term impact of Citizen Schools program on the school performance and overall trajectory of its young participants.

Through Planning and Development, the Franklin Regional Council of Governments provides a broad array of planning services and support for municipal officials. The Planning Staff provides technical assistance in zoning and subdivision regulations, grant writing, transportation planning, land use planning, forest and farmland preservation, natural resource planning, and historic preservation. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Planning and Development prepares and updates the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the greater Franklin County region. Members of the CEDS Policy Committee and various regional agencies including the FRCOG are actively pursuing funding to support projects identified in the CEDS. · Tuesday, September 10th, KHS had an all-day training session for elected members of the Student Council and Class Councils. Mike Webber, from the Leadership Training Center, worked with students in two programs: "What is Leadership?" and "Getting Things Done! Mr. Webber is a consultant who travels throughout the country training student leaders in secondary schools. Approximately 30 students will be attending the workshops.
· Student Council is hosting a Club Fair on Friday, Sept 13, during all lunches in the cafeteria. Clubs will have a chance to inform students about what they do and how to join.

North Middlesex Regional School District Ashby Pepperell Townsend Massachusetts The North Middlesex Regional School District, serving the towns of Ashby, Pepperell and Townsend, is located in the north/central section of Massachusetts on the New Hampshire border. The three towns served by the district cover approximately 80 square miles and are located in the suburbs near the cities of Fitchburg, Lowell, Worcester and Nashua, NH. The district, which is growing in size, is fewer than 50 miles northwest of Massachusetts' capital city, Boston. Residents of the area are to be found working in a wide variety of vocations in the high technology, higher education, plastics, and paper enterprises that are prominent in the region. Fitchburg State College is located 10 miles south in Fitchburg, and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell is only twenty miles east.
