Welcome to My Metal Detector Page
Treasure hunting in it's many forms is one of my favorite activities. Almost everyone as a child dreams of pirates and treasure, only difference is that I'm one of those people that never quite grew up enough to get those notions out of his head! This is my treasure hunting tool of choice, the White's 6000 DI Pro SL Living in Fairbanks, Alaska presents some interesting treasure hunting opportunities. Welcome to my Treasure Hunting world, I hope you enjoy your visit.

GOLD !!
  • I use a White's Goldmaster V/SAT for finding gold nuggets. I have found nuggets in the past with a White's 5000D but it was a lot more work with that old machine. Here are some pictures of nuggets that I have found.

BEGINNERS START HERE WHAT DETECTOR SHOULD I BUY?
You can spend a lot more but I’ve not seen people rushing out to buy them. So you’ve just heard about detecting. You’ve seen a few web sites and now you want to have a go.
The most common question that I’m asked is “what detector should I buy?”
The simple answer is that you usually get what you pay for.
I’d like to hear from users of these machines (or manufacturers) so that I can feed back the consensus to future visitors.
Whites (e.g. XLT)
Tesoro/Laser (e.g. Lobo, PowerMax, Rapier)
Fisher (e.g. X2)
Bounty Hunter (e.g. Fast Tracker)
C-Scope (e.g. CS2MX, CS1220XD, Newforce R1)
Garrett (e.g. Treasure Ace, GTI 1500) Minelab (e.g. Sovereign)
I know a number of people who use the Laser range of detectors such as the B1, B3 or the Power Max that replaces them. There are others at my club who use Garrett, C-Scope and Minelab machines with good results. Top Tips: Be clear what you’re looking for – do you want to search on beaches (for coins and rings mainly) or do you want to search inland (for the stuff shown on this site)?. Beach and inland detectors are very different

8. Underwater Metal Detecting Page
Underwater metal detecting is a whole different experience in the metal detecting world. It is very relaxing and I hope to share some of it's wonders with you. Welcome to My Underwater metal detecting Page. I have been detecting on land since 1973.

Welcome to My Underwater Metal Detecting Page
I have been detecting on land since 1973. I love being in the water and always wished I could metal detect in the water. I finally bought an underwater unit in the Summer of 1997 and have had the best time you could imagine. Detecting underwater is so relaxing! The water supports your weight and it is so peaceful and quiet down there. No mosquitos to bother you and nobody else hunts underwater up here in Fairbanks. This is my treasure hunting tool of choice for underwater detecting, the White's Surfmaster P.I. This is a collection of useful information supplied by my good friends that do lots of underwater hunting. More Underwater tips This is a link to another web site with underwater hunting information. HOW TO HUNT A BEACH Ever gone to a beach and realized how big it is and then wondered, "Where do I Start?" UNDERWATER DETECTING PHOTOS I will have lots of photos this Summer. My good friend "Q" from Guam sent me an underwater camera for that purpose. Thank You "Q" !! These are what I have so far. PHOTOS OF MY SON, GABRIEL

M T M D C The Middle Tennessee Treasure Hunters Club was founded in 1971 by a small group of metal-detector enthusiasts. In 1983 the club changed its name to the Middle Tennessee Historical Research Association (MTHRA) in order to reflect the broader historical interests of many club members. We have now come full circle and in October of 1999 we changed our name to Middle Tennessee Metal Detecting Club. We realized that although many of our members do have historical research interests the name often confused folks who couldn't understand our primary purpose. Our club now has well over 100 members and is growing monthly in members who share our interests. It is our hope that you will find this site informative, educational and entertaining. We have included basic information about our group and sincerely invite anyone to attend our monthly meetings.
