This is a daily task that most adults do automatically, but for 8-to-12-year-olds, it can be a unique learning experience. This was the case when the Montana/Dakotas BLM State Office in Billings, Montana, scheduled a day for employees to bring a child to work. In the summer of 1805, the Lewis and Clark Expedition, commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson, located the headwaters of the Missouri River, a half-hour west of present-day Bozeman. An article titled "Push My Button" describes how the RB5X helped children increase their math and language skills, personal motivation, and intrigue for learning. In a six month Controlled Study at Washington Elementary, Las Cruces, NM, sixth graders were found to increase their math comprehension by 40%, while girls of the same age and in the same period of time increased their math comprehension by 80%.
