Congratulations! Jennifer Blevins, BSN senior Jennifer was honored as the State Student Nurse of the Year. She has also served as the President of the Nebraska Student Nurses Association in 2002-2003. The Nebraska Methodist College Student Nurse Association chapter was awarded "The Most Unique Community Service Award" . Members of the MSNA chapter were actively involved with service and support to families staying in Omaha at the Rainbow House. Familes of children who are patients at Children's Hospital may stay at the Rainbow House. Meals and activities were provided to the families in October and November. One family from Nicaragua was in Omaha for a child's surgery performed at Children's Hospital. The nursing students extended special efforts to make the family feel welcome and comfortable in the U.S. and in Omaha. The Nebraska Methodist College Student Nurse Association Chapter is also active with other campus-wide service projects during the year.
