2 - 2 1 E D I T I O N Q. What is the Nebraska Blue Book A. The Nebraska Blue Boo k is the state's official reference manual. It is produced every two years by the Unicameral Information Office, which is part of the Office of the Clerk of the Nebraska Legislature. The Blue Book is primarily a government reference manual, with information about state agencies and officials, the state constitution, state elections, federal agencies that have a presence in Nebraska, and local governments such as counties and municipalities. The Blue Book also has information about Nebraska's geography, economy, people, history, culture, educational institutions, libraries and media. The print version of the 2000-01 Blue Book came out in the spring of 2001. It is the 45th edition of the book. The first Blue Book was published in 1899, and it has been published biennially in odd-numbered years since 1919. Free copies are distributed to all Nebraska schools, libraries, federal and state government agencies, and certain other entities and officials. The online version of the
